t was six in the evening when the three of them left the park. jeongwoo and the woman he called chloe talked, and he could tell that the woman is still interested in jeongwoo. he had no idea what they were talking about because jeongwoo had told them to wait for him in the car. he wanted to say no, but he didn't.

sighing, haruto looked outside, the wind kissing his face as the mellow lights shone down on him. the city was as lively as it had always been, and the moon was a warm glow of gold hanging in the starry sky as it gleamed a fitful yellow on the water. it was a pretty sight to see, serene, and had never never failed to comfort him.

"hey love"

he bit his lower lip as jeongwoo's words replayed in his mind. why did he called him "love"? he's confused, but he liked it. a chuckle left his lips but he quickly shut his mouth when jeongwoo gave him a questioning look from the driver's seat.

"nothing," he said quickly, and he was relieved when the officer didn't ask. as he played with jio's hair, he breathed a sigh of relief, the baby was  sleeping in his arms.

maybe he should ask him when they get home, otherwise he won't be able to sleep peacefully. wait, home? right, where will he sleep for the night? he left the house after a fight with his father when he said no to his proposal, and he doesn't want to return. he doesn't want his father's shady business. his hyungs, they offered their place but he refused, if his father will know they helped him.. no, he just don't want to risk it.

jeongwoo on the other hand, noticed his expression and wanted to ask him. he sighed and cleared his throat, "are you okay?" he turned to face haruto, who did the same. they accidentally faced each other at the same time. their gazes locked, and as both eyes widened when they looked into each other's, they both panicked and looked away.

jeongwoo laughed and shook his head, what was that? haruto on the other hand just chuckled as he continued playing with jio's hair.

"yeah, i'm okay. just thinking about you know,  life. my father and i fought.. "  haruto trailed off, should he really say things like this? his father is one of the biggest criminals, and jeongwoo is an officer. maybe he should thank the woman for cutting the string, in that way, jeongwoo will forget everything, and even the way he stabbed him.

"why did you two fought?" jeongwoo asked.

maybe he should tell him, no. a lie won't hurt right? if jeongwoo will know that he's hiro's son, he will hate him to eternity. he won't mention his father's name and even the details of the proposal.

"i said no to him when he offered me a job. a job that i didn't want, and i will never want. so i left the house, i don't want to go back there. not now" now that you're here, close to me.

he sighed, maybe he should sleep somewhere on the street or rent an apartme–

"stay with us then." jeongwoo suddenly said. he glanced at the side mirror and back to the road, he clicked his tounge. he was oblivious to haruto, who sat beside him with a dreamy expression on his face.

haruto was startled with jeongwoo's words. a smile slowly forming on his lips and he had a dreamy look on his face, did jeongwoo just offered him to stay with them? is this really happening? jeongwoo will fall for him, jio will always call him daddy, they will be a happy family. his father will be detained and will never ever bother him with his dirty business. jeongwoo will remember him, but please, not that time when he stabbed him. they will get married, have mor–

"you're jio's babysitter after all" jeongwoo suddenly said.

his face fell. he was pulled out of his daydream with jeongwoo's words, that's right, he's jio's babysitter.
