Oblivion

A thousand melodies fade into silence;
A hundred colours turn to gray;
All joys are right here,
And yet, sadness is all that's within.
A hundred million things to see,
Yet all you see is gray;
The colours gone, meanings lost,
To the dark abyss within.

I stand alone, on my own,
In the forbidden land;
Mysteries of who I am,
Resounding all around.
A fluttering glimpse of memories-
That should not belong to me,
And yet here they stand, underhand,
So true and so relatable, almost as if they were
A piece of me returning to me.

Which of these are true?
And which of these are a lie?
The torturously beautiful land,
That I visit through my soul,
Or this prison I see every day,
Through my eyes all around?

All I know is that I'm lost,
Perhaps seeking my way to oblivion....
