Note:
⊙ Expergefactors are something that wakes you up, the dreaded moment of awakening.
⊙ Uhtceare (pronounced oot-key-are-a) is something that keeps you awake, anxiety experienced just before dawn.
⊙ Tintinnabulations is a fancy term for the chiming of Bells (often refering to church bells). It is also a kind of onomatopoeia.
⊙ Poetasters is a derogatory term coined for someone who writes bad or inferior poetry, coined in 1521 for people who added overly pretentious artistry in an attempt to seem superior from their peers.

And now that I've given you unnecessary but interesting facts, let's see how poetry is written....
**********************

All the words, all the lies;
All the feelings passing by,
And then surprise surprise!
See yourself raking,
Begging and breaking, caught in a swirl-
And drowning in a sea- of emotions high.
And curse it or love it, or let it whirl,
It's yours for the taking.

Or perhaps just calling it expergefactors,
At 3 in the morning, unholy uhtceare.
So pull out your fancy notebooks,
And start grubbing for ink,
And with a twirl of the pen,
You will see the rising sun.

And the rush in your eyes,
And all the heat of your arms;
Fear aboard, joys abound,
Life just goes round and around.

Tintinnabulations of the bells -
Or jingles if the reader wills -
Written in black and blue and red,
With words pretentious as a crowd,
Of pea fowls on the ground.

And what you have penned,
Is poetry my naive friend.
That is the name fools award,
To their morning rambles unsound.

Ah poetry, the music of prose!
Some born of images abstract and profound,
Creating a vicissitude of pictures distinctively sound.
And others as you will see around-
Are merely words strung together,
With neither logic nor rhyme,
And not even a sprinkle of voice,

For they were put together,
Just to please the ears somewhat;
And then allow fools to crown,
Themselves as writers of poetry grand;
Claiming a title undeserved,
Just for that pretty post.

And to these poetasters I say,
Drop off your crowns of award-
And learn first the art of words,
Before you desecrate an art,
Ancient as the gods-
With your mindless rambles,
And quotes in shambles.

But wait, have I not,
Just done the same with the above!
