Everything was happening all of a sudden. A ship and a carriage with horses came to Hogwarts for the annual Tri-Wizard Tournament! The students were so excited and chattering amongst themselves. Soon, the dinner was starting but first Cho and Ruby had to be sorted into there houses along with other first years.

Ruby saw a elderly woman who held up a hat. It was old and looked used.  She took a scroll and read from the list.

"Students, I'm Professor McGonagall. I teach Transfiguration here at Hogwarts and it's time to assort you into your houses. To my new 4th year students, which is Ms. Chang and Ms. Langston, you will go first"

Professor McGonagall explained why the students were wearing different colors of robes and ties including the 4 houses which were Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

The name of Slytherin and Ravenclaw  meant something to Ruby. Her mother was in Slytherin, her father was in the same house as her mother. Ryan was in Ravenclaw. Her mother had told her she possesses the traits of Slytherin but Ryan said she also the possesses traits of Ravenclaw. Well, time for the reveal.

"Ruby Langston, please step up dear" Ruby takes a seat on the stool and heard many of the students murmurs and whispers

"That's her.....the girl from the article.....I hope she's doing okay.....that must be a lot to take in....."

She even felt the stares of the staff. Ruby tries her best to ignore it but she can't help but listen and look around. Soon, the sorting hat began to speak.

"Ahhhh yes, another Langston. You are difficult....yes, very difficult. You have two choices. Slytherin, which could lead you to greatness. Or Ravenclaw, which could lead you to be wise and scholarly"

Ruby instantly thought Ravenclaw and soon the hat knew exactly where to put her

"Yes, I see. Better be....RAVENCLAW!" Ruby smiles and goes to the table where she is instantly greeted by her housemates. Not so long that Cho was assorted into Ravenclaw as well. After everyone gets assorted, the headmaster, Dumbledore, begins his speech. This year was the Tri-Wizard tournament. 3 schools, 3 champions to win the Tri-Wizard cup.  The schools were Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.

"For now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime!" Dumbledore said as the students from the school entered the Great Hall.

The ladies did their entrance and Madame Maxime walked in. As soon as everyone clapped, Madame Maxime noticed her two former students: Cho Chang and Ruby Langston.

"My, Ms. Langston and Ms. Chang. It's wonderful to see you two again! Albus, I hope you will look after my two favorite former students. They are really special" Madame Maxime said as she took her seat

"I will Madame Maxime. Now, our friends from the north. Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and their headmaster Igor Karkaroff" The sons of Durmstrang entered and along with Viktor Krum.

As everyone got settled in, Ruby and Cho got to talk with many of their housemates. Ruby then felt someone hug her from behind. "Ruby and Cho, I missed you two so much. How have you both been?" it was a voice of a heavy French accent

Ruby finally turned around and saw Fleur Delacour, an older year from Beauxbatons, along with her sister Gabrielle.

"Fleur, Gabrielle. We missed you too, we've been fine so far." Cho said

"Absolutely, things are going well" Ruby said, making room for the two girls to sit down.

Fleur, Ruby and Cho met at the academy on the first day when they were first years. Ruby was 11 at the time. The same age Ruby was when the incident happened. Fleur was like an older sister to Cho and Ruby and still is since they keep in contact.

Barty Crouch from the Ministry of Magic explained the requirements and rules of the Tri-Wizard tournament and many students weren't happy about it. "THAT'S RUBBISH!!!!". The whole school erupted with yelling and complaining until Dumbledore calmed them down.

After an eventful dinner, the students went to their house dormitories. Ruby and Cho followed. Then, someone bumped into Ruby knocking her down along with Cho.

"Oh um, I'm sorry. Here let me help" A boy extended his hand. Ruby took his hand and so did Cho. Cho recognized him immediately. The boy had glasses and a messy hair. Ruby noticed a scar on his forehead.

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter. You must be Cho and Ruby?"

"We are, it's nice to meet you Harry and thank you. See you around"

They finally make it to the dorms, Ruby went to her dorm which was where her stuff was. Cho and Ruby began to talk.

"Ruby, how come you don't know who Harry was?" Cho said

"Am I suppose to? Is he famous or something?"

"Yes he is. He was the one who survived from you-know-who." Cho said.

Ruby raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"You mean Voldemort? Cool, I guess."

"He was in the Daily Prophet, if you read it."

"You know I don't read the Daily Prophet. 1. Gossip 2. They always twist everything and 3. People believe everything from that shit."

"True. But they didn't twist anything from the article with you and Ryan. Rita kept it the same, exactly as you told her" Cho said, handing Ruby the newspaper.

"Just read it soon. Get some rest, we have potions tomorrow and I heard that the professor who teaches it is cruel" Cho said as she leaves

When the door closes, Ruby looks at the article. The moving picture of 11-year old Ruby, clinging to her mother, crying. Ruby balls it up and throws it across the room. Wiping her tears away and getting ready for bed.
