Part 38- News Report

Y/N POV-
I sat down on the bed and Nat joined me.
Nat- so? Do you have a problem with us three?
Y/N- It's not a problem, I get that you both had something before I turned up and I never meant to get in the way of that
Nat- it stopped a while ago
Y/N- so it started again when I got brainwashed?
Nat- we didn't mean for it to but it just did
Y/N- I think I just need some time, time to move through things and figure out what's going on
Nat- I understand, I'll leave you alone

She gets up and heads towards the door
Nat- goodnight Y/N
Y/N- goodnight Natasha
She leaves and I lay down on the bed, I didn't want to temporarily end things but I had to. It wasn't possible for me to keep doing this considering I didn't know all the facts yet
I fall asleep pretty quickly even though my thoughts are racing.

I wake up early, I didn't sleep very well but I head downstairs and see nobody is awake yet. I flick on the television awaiting an insight to my interview to be shown.
Some of the avengers come to join me but I don't say anything. I was nervous, if I had made a bad impression then this could ruin the avengers
Tony- it's time, you ready for this kid
Y/N- I guess I'll have to be

*News Report*
Kate- The Gala was filled with special people who had all joined together to welcome the newest avenger.
Everyone knew her as Sonny, a young women whose abilities were far beyond the realms of belief but inside, she did not fit the avengers profile.
A fully trained surgeon in her own right, she could work in any hospital in New York and maybe she has, who knows if she has saved your life before.
A calm character who thrived under pressure whether it was on the field or in an operating theatre.
Most of the avengers I've interviewed have enjoyed being the centre of attention but not Sonny, in fact she hated it.
She was one who liked to stay away from the attention, social anxiety crippled her but she always tried her best
This avenger is not like the others, a glowing character with a kind heart and sensitive soul. She is one to adore and look up to.

Y/N POV-
I sign in relief, the report was better than I expected. I thought I had made an okay impression but it turns out, she really seemed to like me and she understood me incredibly well.
Tony- good job kid, I think we can all say you nailed that
Y/N- thankfully
Wanda- yeah it seems she really likes you
I turn around and see Wanda stood there watching
Y/N- I didn't realise you were down here
Wanda- yeah well I thought I should be here for you
Y/N- I appreciate it

My phone starts to ring and it's an unknown number
Y/N- hello?
Kate- hey Sonny, it's Kate here
Y/N- oh hey Kate, is everything okay?
I stand up and leave the room, Wanda's eyes follow me
Kate- the report this morning went down incredibly well and I was hoping you'd come round to answer some follow up questions
Y/N- yeah sure thing, send me your address and I can be there within minutes
Kate- perfect give me 10 minutes and keep it casual
Y/N- see you soon Kate

I walk back into the living room
Y/N- I need to pop out for a while, if you need me then just message me
Wanda- going to see your girlfriend?
Y/N- What? No, anyway we need to talk when I get back
She flashes her eyes red at me as I teleport away from the compound.
She's got a nice place, it's simple but does what is needed. I knock at the door and she answers quickly.
Kate- I'm so glad you came
Y/N- it's not a problem, I watched your report this morning
Kate- what did you think?
Y/N- you made me sound like a God
Kate- well, you did leave an impression on me. Anyway, let's get this started, I know you're busy
Y/N- I might have to leave quickly at any point, I hope you don't mind.

We spend the next hour going through the report and I answer some more questions.
Kate- one more question, off record
Y/N- fire away
Kate- the person you're unofficially seeing, is it serious?
I take a few steps towards her and she walks backwards until she bumps into her kitchen counter. I lift her onto the counter and stand between her legs
Y/N- does this answer your question
She leans in and gently kisses me, her lips are soft and taste sweet. I wrap my arms around her as she wraps her legs around me.
Kate- is this okay?
I lean in and kiss her, deepening it as quick as possible. I tug at her shirt as she lifts her arms, I give her a quick look up and down
Y/N- you are gorgeous
Things begin to get heated but stop, as my phone beeps
Kate- you should get that

It's a text from Natasha
Nat- you're needed here, be back ASAP
I turn around and look at Kate
Y/N- I'm sorry but I've got to go
Kate- go save the world Sonny, we can finish this another time
I nod before teleporting back to base.
Y/N- Natasha, you required me?
Nat- Strucker has resurfaced, it's time to bring him in and finish this. We also need to talk about you making Wanda jealous, did something happen with Kate?
Y/N- you interrupted something
Nat- I'm glad I did then
