~Jimin~
"Remember the reason why you let her in," Yoongi said to Jimin as the two were sharing a ride back home. It was a few days after Jimin and Miyoung met Jimin's parents. She's been locking herself in her room and only comes out when she needs to eat. The members didn't like that. They wanted to be around her and have her in their space too.
Jimin knew that his members knew of his growing interest in that new rising soloist. She was beautiful, sweet and really kind. It was hard not to like her because she was exactly Jimin's type. Miyoung was mature, beautiful, stubborn and like Jimin, she has a temper. When the two fight, it gets really bad. Jimin fell for her because he was curious about her and she knew just when to back away when he needs space. He liked that. Maybe that's why he kept her with him. She was easy to talk to and a good friend to him.
"Miyoung's probably seen the articles about it too," Yoongi murmured. "Hard not to."
Jimin said nothing. He knew Miyoung have seen them because she was starting to distant herself from him. He didn't mind it because he needed the space too. He wanted to know what it is that he wanted.
It was a small crush but why is it that he can't get that girl out of his mind? Even when he's sleeping with Miyoung or holding her... when she's around, Jimin can't help but think of that female celebrity. Yet at the same time, his heart ached when he thinks about Miyoung seeing how Jimin looks at Haeun. There's no doubt that Miyoung is important to Jimin though.
To Jimin, it was better for him to remain somewhat distant with Miyoung too. Just until he knows what it is he wanted. He was serious about raising a kid with Miyoung though.
The pregnancy wasn't planned or wanted but if Jimin is able to travel back in time, he wouldn't change a thing. Their baby was a gift that Jimin wouldn't trade for anything else. And if he was honest, he's glad that Miyoung's the mother.
Yoongi said nothing more to Jimin and he was glad about it too. Jimin leaned his head against the head rest and closed his eyes.
Someone like Miyoung deserves to be with someone who's worthy of her. Jimin knew he wasn't that man. No... the better man for her would be—
Jungkook.
Jimin opened his eyes and looked outside his window with a bitter smile. He let himself remember the night he found out about Jungkook's feelings for her.
"She loves you," Jungkook had said to Jimin one night when the two were together after Jimin had exchanged numbers with that female celebrity.
Jimin said nothing, reaching for his beer.
"You know," Jungkook drawled, "I used to have a little thing for her. Miyoung."
Jimin didn't like that but smiled. It held no warmth or anything.
"Yeah, I kinda knew that. But hey," Jimin rest his elbow on his knee and leaned towards Jungkook, "since you have a thing for breathing and all, I knew you would never act on that 'little thing'."
Jungkook flashed that cocky smile of his, raising his beer towards Jimin. Jungkook wasn't feeling too good so Jimin went to check up on him in his hotel room, only to find Jungkook was drowning himself in alcohol.
It was there that Jimin learnt of Jungkook's feelings towards Miyoung. Jimin had a feeling that Jungkook may be crushing on her but he pushed it away, thinking that it's probably nothing.
Everything made sense though—how Jungkook is always there to help Miyoung with the littlest thing and how he could tell when she's feeling sick or when she's sad. Or how Jungkook gets frustrated when Jimin refuses to introduce her to the group. Or maybe even that time when Miyoung was laughing and Jungkook is always smiling and watching her from afar. Jimin's noticed it but he thought it was because Jungkook adored her as a friend- even though a part of him knew it wasn't. Jimin tried to convince himself that it was just adoration like how the members are with each other's girls. Boy, was he wrong.
When Jungkook confessed to Jimin about his feelings towards Miyoung, Jimin was a little annoyed by it but then, he felt sorry for the guy. How long did he keep it in? Was he ever going to tell them about it?
After parting that night, Jimin and Jungkook never spoke of it again.
When Miyoung decided to end thing, Jimin didn't stop her. He knew she deserves a better man than himself and to be honest, Jimin was tired of their secret relationship too. Miyoung didn't do anything wrong but it was just because Jimin had no idea how to really date ordinary people. He wanted a celebrity girlfriend and maybe that attraction towards Haeun was because she was Jimin's type and a celebrity. He wanted easy. An escape. Why? Because he's afraid.
Jimin wished that Miyoung got together with someone like Jungkook, who he knows will stay by her side until the very end. Even though he knew Jungkook might be the better man for her, Miyoung only sees him as a little brother.
Regardless of that, Jimin never cheated on her though. He tried so hard to be the perfect boyfriend for Miyoung but he just couldn't do it anymore. When he holds her or when they are naked and together, it no longer feels the same and that really hurt him. He wanted Miyoung to be his forever but he can't keep doing this to her if his mind is full of Haeun. He was curious about Haeun.
When Jungkook learnt of Miyoung's pregnancy, Jimin watched him carefully to see how he'll react. To his surprise, Jungkook looked almost like he doesn't care about it. Maybe he moved on, who knows.
Sometimes when Jimin sees the way Jungkook looks at her, it makes him wonder if he had that exact adoring look in his eyes too when he looks at Miyoung.
