Fear paralysed inside him as he eyed the patterns of blood on the floor inside their bedroom.
His body froze and the worst thoughts filled his mind as looked around the empty room, his heart clenching at the thought of something bad happening.
Jungkook gulps and walks ahead, hoping against hope that Taehyung would be there hiding saying that it was all just a prank.
He badly hoped that this was a prank but there was no Taehyung in the room.
Breathing was becoming hard now as he imagined the different scenarios that could've happened here.
"Taehyungie hyung" He whispered touching the fresh droplet of blood
Suddenly the sound of swinging door came, startling the younger and as he looked up he saw a surprised looking Taehyung standing there with an arm behind his back.
"Hyung." Jungkook gasped, feeling a sense of relief spreading inside him as he took in the other's figure from top to bottom.
It was not a hallucination right?
Taehyung frowned and stepped forwards, closing the long cold distance between them. He caressed the younger's cheeks softly while looking at him with his puppy eyes and a pout on his lips.
"Did HYung make you worried?" Taehyung asks feeling guilty
Jungkook shook his head and quickly wrapped his hands around the older, just inhaling his scent which immediately made his insides calm down and relax.
Everything was okay.
Hyung was okay.
Taehyung squeaked surprised when he felt Jungkook suddenly hug him tightly, their bodies pressed together embracing each other's warmth.
He smiled softly and caressed the younger's hair as he hugged him back, patting rhythmically on Jungkook's back.
"Are you feeling good now?" Taehyung asks as soon as they separated from the hug
"Yeah, what happened here?" Jungkook asks confused as he eyes the blood droplets
"Ahh you know me Jungkookie, I am always so clumsy" Taehyung said laughing "I kinda injured my hand while trying to prepare something for you since its our anniversary and all"
"You hurt you hand? Show me!" Jungkook demanded making Taehyung chuckle
"Here, I hurt my palm a bit" Taehyung said showing his hand to the younger who was gaping at the long red wound on his husband's palm
"THIS IS NOT SMALL!!!" Jungkook squeaked and quickly ran to get the Band-Aid and antiseptic as he didn't want his hyung to get an infection.
And as soon as Jungkook left, Taehyung quickly swept down and grabbed the knife form the kitchen that he had used against that fucker who had broken in. He quickly throws it out of the window and comes back to his original position as Jungkook entered the room with fresh cotton balls, Band-Aids and other stuff.
"You're not allowed inside the kitchen from now on!" Jungkook said firmly leaving no place for any more arguments and Taehyung didn't protest as he knew once Jungkook decides, he could do nothing to change his mind.
"Find but you have to make me whatever I ask whenever I want" Taehyung said huffing
"Ofcourse anything for you, my darling" Jungkook replied with a cheeky smile and wink making Taehyung laugh at the younger's flirty actions
"Then I want to eat a cookie, now can I get it?" Taehyung asks innocently
"Cookie? Ahh okay I think we do have two packets left. Which do you want?" Jungkook asks while throwing away the used cotton.
"mmm How about Jungkookie? I want Jungkookie!" Taehyung whispered into the other ears hotly while wrapping his arms around Jungkook's back
Jungkook froze, a tint of pinkness starting to cover his cheeks as he smiled nervously
"Can I have Jungkookie?" Taehyung whispers again, his lips kissing and licking the younger's ears making Jungkook tremble under him
"Fine since you got hurt I am letting you top, there is not other reason for it okay?" Jungkook said with a slight pout and Taehyung chuckled at the younger's silliness
"Ofcourse love!" Taehyung murmured and he was about to take the other to bed when Jungkook suddenly gasps
"Oh shit I almost forgot!"
Taehyung looks at the other confused as Jungkook quickly pulls out a box form his pocket, it contained the gift he had brought for his hyung. He pauses a bit and looks down while shyly giving the older the blue box.
"I bought it for you" Jungkook says and looks eagerly as Taehyung takes the box with a smile
He then opens it and his smile widens when he saw the chain that Jungkook bought him. It was a simple designed accessory with a half green and half purple heart locket.
Some might think that it was a cringey gift but for Taehyung it was the best gift eh had received in his lifetime.
Because the fact that Jungkook took the courage to go outside and buy it for him, mattered the most.
"Wahh I love it" Taehyung exclaims happily, immediately taking the chain and putting around his neck "How does it look on me?"
"Pretty" Jungkook mutters as he was again long lost by the other's ethereal look
"I am sorry Jungkookie but my gift is not that good" Taehyung said and quickly takes the tickets that he had kept hidden form Jungkook
And as soon as Jungkook saw the tickets to his hometown, he looked up in surprise
"You always said you wanted to visit your old home again so I thought.." Taehyung said sheepishly and he was about to apologise again for such a bad gift but before he could do that Jungkook had already tackled him into a tight hug
"Thank you hyung! I love you so much!" Jungkook whispers kissing the other all over his face
"Okay okay i got it!" Taehyung giggles and flips their positions his expression turning serious and hot
"Now I want my Jungkookie"
