Derek and Meredith have both noticed how sad their eldest daughter was. They figured it was the feeling of being replaced by the two new additions to the family. It's only been about a week. So she hasn't fully adapted to the new changes and adaptations that come with having a new sibling. Let alone two. They loved their children equally, but twins were big. Taking care of them sometimes got a bit overwhelming. Especially for Mer. Of course, they didn't mind. They absolutely adored them. It's just, having spit up down your shirt, it's not the best thing you want to feel.

Derek had an idea. Alex had been wanting to spend more time with Mer and the twins and Jo had been dying to squeeze their cheeks, as she said in her own words over the phone.

So they decided, Derek and Lexie could spend some time together while Alex and Jo helped Mer with the twins.

Meredith was upstairs, helping Lexie get dressed while Derek was downstairs, doing the dishes and waiting for Alex to arrive with Jo.

"Lexie, are you excited?"

"Yea, Mama! Thank you!"

"You're welcome, Angel. Now come on, let's get you dressed so you can see uncle Alex and aunt Jo before you leave."

"Ok!"

Not knowing if her nature loving husband was going to take their daughter somewhere in the woods or not, she dressed Lexie in a light blue t-shirt with dark blue overalls that had ruffles at the end and were cut off at her knees.

"Ok Lexipie. Let's go downstairs. Do you want to hold your brother and sister?"

"Yes yes yes!"

Mer chortled a bit before picking her adorable 3 year old up and taking her down to her daddy.

"Hey princess!"

"Dada!"

She ran into his arms and he picked her up.

"Where do you want to go, girlie?"

"Can we go to Maboo Jacks?"

"We can go to Malibu Jacks." Derek chuckled out.

"Yay!"

A few minutes later, a knock echos through the kitchen.

"Come in!"

A very happy Jo runs into kitchen practically jumping.

"What has her so happy?" Mer questioned Alex.

"I wanna see the twins!"

"Living room."

"Yay!"

"She's excited." Derek said.

"Yeah. She has been dying to see these kids. Now, come here rascal."

"Uncle Alex!"

"Handshake?"

"Yeah!"

They did their weird handshake they made up when he was watching her.

"Let's go, Lex."

"Bye mama! Bye auntie Jo!"

"Bye!"

Her and Derek left and got in the car.

"Ready?"

"Maboo Jacks!"

"Malibu Jacks." Derek chuckled.

He started driving and about 30 minutes into the ride, he looked back and saw Lexie asleep. She had a smile on her face, which put one on his.

"Lexie girl. Wake up. We're here."

"Yayyy!"

He got out and helped her out. They headed inside the big building.

"Daddy! I want to ride that!"

There was an area for the little ones that had a small yet fun roller coaster ride.

"Ok. You have to swipe your card."

Lexie swiped the card over and over because it wouldn't scan.

"Flip it around, silly."

"Oh! I did it!"

In order to ride it, she would have to ride with Derek. He got in and so did she.

"Weeeeee!"

They got off with huge smiles.

"That was fun!"

"It was! What else, Lexie bear?"

"Bump cars!"

Derek was really happy that his daughter wanted to go to the bumper cars. He was a big kid inside and he loved cars. So when those two mix, you will practically have to pry him away.

"Let's go!"

They swiped their card and got in. When the ride started, Lexie and Derek took turns, bumping into everyone they saw.

They soon got out and they were laughing.

They rode some more rides, played some game and just enjoyed being with each other.

"Want to go eat, Lex?"

"Yea!"

They got back into the car and he drove to Dairy Queen.

They started eating and Lexie got mustard on her nose.

"Smile!"

Derek took a picture of the before Lexie tried to like her nose.

"Silly, wipe it off."

She took her finger and wiped the mustard off of her nose and ate it, taking her finger out of her mouth with a popping sound.

"I love you, Lexie."

"I love you...........more."

"No!"

"Ya!"

"No way!"

"Uh huh!"

"Ok. You win."

Meanwhile at the house, Jo was obsessing over the babies.

"Jo, I know you love them but-"

"No. Auntie Jo isn't stopping. No I'm not! I'm not!" She implied with a baby voice.

"Mer, I think she wants kids."

"I think so too."

"I don't know if I want them. Not yet."

"I didn't either. I just...Derek had always wanted kids. And we tried. Never happened. Of course, I get pregnant right when the universe takes him. But when I found out about Lexie....she was all I had left of him. And that was all I needed. It's not gonna be easy, Alex. But you will be an amazing dad."

"Thanks, Mer."

"No problem."

"Look Alex! He's smiling!"

"Haha. Come here big guy!"

Alex took Chris and held him.

"Malley is hungry, Mer." Jo said.

"She always is." Mer chuckled.

Meredith grabbed Malley and covered herself with a blanket.

It was a good day. For everyone.
