No one POV

"Alright, see you at home. Have fun and don't crash my car." Y/n said to his sister as he jumped out of the car. She had plans with her friends and wanted to borrow his car. He let her as long as she dropped him off at work, which she agreed to.

"See ya!" She yelled as she drove out. Y/n walked around the restaurant and walked in through the kitchen.

"Hi everyone!" He yelled.
"Hi Y/n!" Everyone yelled back. It was their daily routine. He walked to the office and found his mom and grandfather talking.

"Hi guys." Y/n smiled before putting him bag down. "A lot of reservations today?"
"No, only about 50. For now, at least." His mother said. Y/n nodded and walked out in the restaurant to set up everything before opening.

"Mrs. Wilson! You look lovely today." Y/N smiled as he walked up to her table to take her order.
"You say that every time I see you honey." She chuckled.

"I mean it every time, you know that." Y/n chuckled back. "So what can we get for you today? The usual or you want it to be a surprise?"

"I'd like the usual today with extra cheese." Mrs. Wilson smiled and handed him back the menu that she never looked in anyway.

"Coming right up." Y/n said and walked to the kitchen with her order.

The table next to her, filled with 4 girls, couldn't help but overhear the conversation and smiled at their interaction.
"That was cute." Dev smiled.
"Yeah, so was he." Anna chuckled. The other girls chuckled along with her and nodded in agreement.

"He's also very sweet." Mrs. Wilson butted in as she overheard their conversation as well. They all laughed together.
"You come here often ma'am?" Eva asked.

"I do. My husband and I used to come here every Friday and after he died, I felt a need to keep up the tradition."

"That's lovely ma'am." Anna smiled. "Anything you can recommend then?"

"You mean other than Y/n?" Mrs. Wilson said and made them all laugh again.

"Yeah, other than him."

Y/n POV

The evening went on quite quickly, it was time for my break already. I asked Tony, the chef, for a pepperoni pizza and a piece of apple pie for Mrs. Wilson and walked out to sit and eat with her. When I got there, I saw that she had gotten company.

"I see I should have brought more pie." I chuckled. "Would you girls like a dessert as well? It's on the house." They all said yes. I sat down the pie for Mrs. Wilson and my pizza, before getting their desserts.

"Mrs. Wilson says that you are the headwaiter here?" Dev asked. The girls had introduced themselves when I came back with the desserts.
"I am. I've been here since I was 15, so the owner thought I deserved the chance." I smiled, taking a bite of my pizza.

"The owner who also happens to be his grandfather." Mrs. Wilson chuckled. The girls looked surprised, and I couldn't help but laugh either. "How is he doing by the way?"

"He acts like he's fine, but we all know he's not." I said. "You know, men are stubborn." I added chuckled, making it sound less serious than it was. The girls chuckled along with Mrs. Wilson.
"Do you mind if we ask what happened?" Emma asked. I didn't mind, it wasn't a secret.

"He had a falling out with his son, who unfortunately also happens to be my father. Well, we all had a falling out with him. He cheated on my mother with a college student, one from my math class if you can believe it." I said.

"I'm sorry." Anna said with a small smile.
"It's okay." I said as my eyes connect with hers. God, she's beautiful. I need to ask her for her number before she leaves. My thought was interrupt by Sara.

"Y/n? I'm sorry to interrupt, but can I ask you something?" Sara asked, she is one of the new waiters but one of the nicest people I have ever met.

"Sure, what's up?" I asked.

"I have a couple a few tables down. The lady is complaining about the couple next to her, because they are a lesbian couple, and she wants them to leave." Sara breathed out. "I told her that we can't and won't ask them to leave and now she wants to speak to someone in charge. Can you please, in your Y/n way, ask her to nicely fuck off?" She chuckled. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Wow Sara, I didn't know you had that word in you." I laughed as I stood up. "Excuse me ladies." I said to the girls and Mrs. Wilson to follow Sara to the table.

"I wanna see this." I heard Anna chuckled.
"Me too." Eva, Dev and Emma all said at once.

"Ma'am, this is Y/n. He is the headwaiter here." Sara said as we got to the table.

"What can I do for you ma'am?" I asked as nicely as I could. The lady looked over at the table next to them, at the two women sitting there. They looked back at her and then me. It was clear that they were aware this was about them, but they didn't seem like they cared about the lady which I liked. I hate these kinds of people; they should just mind their own business.

"Those two." The lady started and pointed at the couple. "They keep holding hands and kissing. Can you please do something about it?"

"I'm sorry ma'am, but if you don't to see a couple in love, I suggest you look the other way or just leave." I said. I didn't feel the need to be as nice today as I sometimes am with a lady like this.

"Excuse me?!" The lady almost yelled. "Those kinds of people shouldn't be welcome here!"
"But they are, everyone is welcome here and if you don't like that, you are welcome to leave." I said with a shrug.

"I demand to speak to the owner!" The lady hissed.

"My grandfather is the owner, and I can assure you that he is gonna tell you the exact same thing." I hissed back at her. "So as I said before, you can either mind your own business or leave, the latter would be most appreciative."

The lady didn't say more, she just stood up and left with her husband, who looked like he wanted to fall in a hole and die of embarrassment. A few tables clapped as they left, included the girls and Mrs. Wilson. I walked to the couple's table.

"Hi ladies. I'm sorry for the troubles." I said with a smile.
"It's okay. Thank you for getting them to leave." One of them said, also with a smile.

"No problem." I said. "Your dinner is on the house tonight, and I'm walking away before you argue with me. Have a lovely evening." I chuckled and walked away. I could hear them laugh as well before yelling a thank you.

"So is that the Y/n way?" Anna chuckled.
"Well, it was the nice version of it." I smiled and sat down to finish my pizza.

"How does the not nice version go?" Anna asked.
"Well if you come back, you may find out." I flirted.

"I may just have to, don't I?" Anna flirted back. I smiled, already falling for her beautiful eyes.
