"Happy birthday!" my two best friends cheer as soon as they see me walk through the door of our favorite club.
"Hey guys!" I wave and smile. "Thanks."
They both give me hugs once I reach them. Then, they both hand me envelopes. I open them to reveal fifty dollars in each.
"Thanks guys. I love empty cards. they're just what I wanted." I joke.
"Well, they're not exactly empty." Julia giggles.
She must already be halfway drunk.
"Yeah, silly! There's a hundred total dollars." Shane hiccups.
"It's a total of a hundred, my dear." I correct her drunken grammar.
They both just giggle and take a sip of their drinks.
"Can I get you something to drink?" the barkeeper asks me.
I nod. "yes please. a Jamaican smile. please and thank you."
"Coming right up." he says, getting my drink.
Just then a three guys walk over to us.
"Hello, ladies." the one with longish black hair smiles.
"Um, hi?" Julia eyes them curiously.
"We heard it was someone's birthday over here?" one of the other guys says.
"Gabe!" he longish haired guy scolds. "that seems stalkerish. don't say it like that."
"Sorry. what I meant to say was- no. I meant to say it like I said it." the one now known as gabe, says.
"It's fine." i wave it off. "yes, you are correct. It's my birthday. I'm turning twenty- three today."
"What a coincidence!" gabe smiles.
The third guy smiles too. "yeah! it's our friend, Justin's, birthday too. well, actuall it's not for another week, but... ya know, whatever."
"Really? mines next week too! it's on the first of march." I nod.
"That's so weird. Justin's is on the first also. he's turning twenty four though." the longish haired guy says.
" Guys really? I'm not even here yet, and you're already hitting on girls?" a fourth guy says, walkin up.
"Hey! it's the birthday boy!" The three guys cheer.
"Yeah, yeah." the fourth, very cute, guy smiles shyly.
"You must be Justin." I assume, sticking my hand out for him to shake.
He shakes my hand, nodding. "Yes. and you are?"
"Oh! we never even asked you your guys' names." Gabe exclaims.
"I'm Hailz." I say.
"Im kellin. Who's this beautiful raven?" the longish haired guy asks Julia.
"I'm ....oh! im Julia, but you can call me jewelz." jewelzy says, almost forgetting her own name.
"And who are you?" gabe asks shane.
"I'm shane. you are?" she smiles sweetly.
"I'm gabe." gabe smirks.
" And this is jack." Justin motions towards the third guy.
"Hi jack." the three of us wave.
"You're so adorable." Julia giggles.
Jack just blushes and smiles shyly. "thanks."
"Aw!" kellin whines. "what about me?"
"You... "Julia points at kellin. "are very, sexy."
Kellin just smirks and wink at her.
"So! should we celebrate two birthdays in one?" gabe asks.
"Wait." Justin says. "who's birthday is it?"
"Hailz'" everyone says.
"Mine." I tell him.
"Oh! happy birthday." Justin nods.
"So, like I said... two in one?" gabe repeats himself.
We all look at each other then nod.
"Yes."
