Her heart began to pump faster against her chest. She was left agape by the doctor's question. Her body sat frozen in place. Y/n looked over at the other 3 who were sitting at the table. They were slightly surprised by the question, but were waiting intently for Y/n to explain.

Y/n looks back at the doctor. He was still in the same position as before with his face serious. He was growing impatient awaiting for Y/n's response. "Young lady. You brought someone into our home that released hundreds of thousands of titans onto the world. He destroyed a whole nation, and maybe more. I want you to explain to me why I should treat him."

"I-I-I-" Y/n tried to speak but the words would not come out of her mouth. Then realization hits her. She never once said Eren's name upon meeting everyone. More question began to pool in Y/n's mind. It was abundantly clear that Greg knew more then he let on.

"How do you know my husband's name? I never said it once since I have been here." She asks Greg.

Greg's face relaxes releasing a low chuckle. "You're pretty clever. I will tell you how I figured it out, but first there is a little story you must hear." He looks over at Martha who gives him a reassuring nod. Letting out a sigh Greg tells his story.

"I am an Eldian. An Eldian born in the Internment Zone of Marley. Myself and another man were taught medicine around the same time. This man I speak of would eventually have a son named Grisha Yeager. Essentially, I grew up with Eren's grandfather."

Y/n's eyes widened. Greg could tell she was surprised as he continued.

"The boy Grisha was a part of an Eldian restorations group within Liberio. I still remember the day his son, Zeke, turned his own mother and father over to the government to protect his grandparents. Grisha and the others were sent to Paradise, although it seems Grisha managed to survive and attain the Attack titan power." Y/n already knew this much of the story from Eren, but she still continued to listen on.

"I escaped Liberio not long after. My family was slaughtered for the same suspicions, but we never participated in such deeds against Marley. I was the only survivor. I ran from Marley. Ran for days, maybe weeks, until I came to this town. I was broken. Hungry. Martha took me in.

"A plague was running through the town at the time. It took the life of Martha's husband, her son and his wife. Only Travis, Martha's grandson was still alive, but just barely. I saved him. I helped the rest of the town. They were all grateful to me, and so I stayed. I have been here ever since living with Martha.

"Eren Yeager had made headlines after the raid in Liberio. The world knows all about him and Paradise island. All of us Eldians heard his message within the paths when he started the rumbling. We all knew it was Eren.

"Of course none knew what Eren looked like, but I always had this feeling he was related to the Yeager's that I know. I confirmed my suspicions during his check-up. The color of his eyes are the same as both his father and grandfather."

Greg finished his story leaving a surprised Y/n. Never in her life would she happen to run into someone who was Eldian, and knew Eren's grandfather and father at that.

She looks at Martha and the others. "Are you all Eldians as well?" She asks.

Martha shakes her head. "No we are not, and are not Marleyean either. We are from a different country; this country actually. There are many nationalities around the world." She smiles.

"So why are you not throwing me and Eren out yet?" Y/n then asks turning back to Greg.

"Many rumours swirl around the Eldian's and Paradise. Some of those rumours are made by Marley to get everyone to hate Eldians. I want you to tell me the whole truth about Paradise, Eren, and the titan powers. Tell me your story. Once I have heard it, I will make the decision whether to treat your husband." He says.
