It's funny how a smell can remind you so much of that one person. How it can remind you of the simpler times in your life. Where you thought everything was perfect, even though the world around you was falling apart.
That's the smell I got today. It had that sound of the waves but also the sound of the silence between us. The smell of the sun that shined on my skin while I was reading that book you gave me for my birthday. The sound of the tears I cried while listening to that song that reminded me of you, 'cause I missed you that much.
That smell that reminded me of you.
