It's been about 14 years since I last wrote a story so please be kind to me! But thank you so much for at least giving this story a chance. If it isn't for you, it is okay. Do give your love to all other authors out there instead.
I've been pretty stressed up at work lately, caught in a job that doesn't quite bring me joy and resonate with my values but I've been trying to struggle through it. So one of my outlets apparently brought me back to writing.
Been reading so many fantastic stories here that brought me joy and happiness so I thought I might add a little something (hopefully) to someone's life. Just as many of the wonderful authors here have done for me.
That being said, this story kind of reflects my mood at the moment too. There might be angst, grief and even sass and fluffiness. I'm not entirely sure where it will go. I do have a rough plan but the details have yet to be ironed out so welcome on this wild ride with me!
The story will revolve around a Chinese culture that I grew up knowing but had little chance to fully understand. I'll be doing my research along the way as well to try to keep it as culturally accurate as possible but please do understand if I do change bits of it to match the story. It will be done with no intention to undermine any standing cultures. I will also try to keep as much Thai culture as I can in it, simply because it is such an essential part of the characters as well.
I do have to put in a disclaimer though, this story will contain the supernatural and relationships with ghosts so if you aren't comfortable with that concept please do not proceed. It is the crux that I am basing this story on so it will carry on throughout.
Alright, enough chitter chatter, let's go!
