watching the stars was a common thing you and marcus did. it was just 'your thing'. even though you were only his bestfriend, you had been in love with him for all the time being.
it was silent, until of course one of you opened your mouths about an unusual topic. quite a sensitive topic. for you anyway.
"do you believe in love?" marcus asks, turning his head at you.
"why'd you ask?" you reply back to his question, also turning your head at him.
"no reason, just curious" he says, flashing you a small smile.
""no not really, you?" you asks, sitting up.
"i guess i do" he replies, following your actions; sitting up.
"how come you don't?" he carries on.
"just don't, i mean. love isn't how it is in the movies, it takes ages to find someone who loves you. so i guess that's why." you reply.
"oh. it could be like the movies though" marcus says.
"come back to me when you've found your love, then we'll see" you say.
"i think i've already found her" he reply's, smiling at you.
