Cuss Words

i have this
unusual appreciation
for profanity
spoken in our
native language [filipino]
when it is used
in expressing
excessive emotion
when narrating
a story
or reacting to
a banter
or making a sarcastic remark
just to rant out
your deepest sighs
to the world

i love how
it adds weight
and power
to let off steam
and makes you breathe

i don't use
cuss words
but every time
i hear it
it appeals to me
and it somehow
connects me
to the vulnerability
of the human soul

i only don't like it
when it is used
to intentionally damage
the other person
