sometimes i get paranoid
if my metaphors
are too obvious
that a reader
can figure out
the context behind
the lines
i have written
good thing
there's still a brave kid in me
who won't be hindered
from writing and posting
her feelings down
on a blank page
having in mind
her future self
who she wanted to give
a precious kind
of cringe as a gift
