**Toni's pov**

Considering it's my day off I drop off our daughter, Victoria, off at school with Cheryl. I'll just drop off Cheryl at work also and then go get some things for the house before I go pick them back up again.

I park in a spot in front of Victoria's school letting her get out before we forget she's in the car and go on about our day. I did that once because she was so quiet. She runs to Cheryl's side of the door first.

"Bye mom love you!" She says pecking Cheryl's cheek.

"Bye momma love you!" She says pecking my forehead.

"Bye Tori! We love you too!" Cheryl and I shout in union using her nickname. We watch as she walks through the front entrance catching up with some of her friends. I like all of them, they seem like a normal group of people but Cheryl only likes two and tolerates the rest. Classic Cheryl if you ask me. I laugh to myself as I pull out the parking lot.

"Love?" Cheryl's questions while looking at me.

"Yes Cheryl?" I say looking at her for a second.

"Did you hear a word I even said?"

"No babe I'm sorry what did you say?"

"I asked what was for dinner. It's your turn to cook tonight."

"I don't know yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out when I get to the store." She nods and looks out the window.

"You okay babe?"

"Yeah it's just- never mind it's not important."

"Cheryl what is it?"

"I don't wanna go to work! I actually hate it there!"

"Cheryl are you aware that you are your own boss so you don't have to be there if you don't want to. You can spend the day with me. I'm not complaining. Not one bit." I say adding a smirk.

"But it's your day off."

"And why wouldn't I want to spend it with the love of my life?" I question as I pull into the Walmart parking lot.

"Well since we are already here I'll just take the day off!" She says while clapping her hands. She pulled that one on purpose but like I said before I'm not complaining.

I get out and open her door. She pecks my lips as a way of saying thank you. She takes my hand in hers after I grab a basket. We start to walk no where in particular when Cheryl wraps her hand around my waist, digging her nails into my side. I wince and look at her and now that I'm looking at her I can tell she doesn't even know she's doing it. I follow her gaze and see a group of college students that consists of boys and girls looking me up and down. Can they not see the ring in my finger?! I put my arm around Cheryl's waist and lean into her side.

"Hey babe?"

"Hm?" She hums looking done at me.

"I think it's time to get our wedding rings cleaned. Don't you think?" I glance up at her and she seems to get the hint.  She starts to push the basket her arm still wrapped around my waist and mine around hers. She walks in the direction the college kids are and starts to talk again. I smirk at her attempt to make a point. Hey, I can put up an act too.

"Babe! You're not listening to me!"

"Baby I'm sorry what did you say?" We basically are in hand shaking distance from the kids and she acts like she's about to make a turn.

"I said we should get our wedding rings cleaned. Don't ya think?"

"Oh yeah we should." She stops the basket at gives me her full attention.
