I feel inclined to disregard
my unique femininity
due to the weight of my shoulders.
Stereotypically speaking
I'm a bean among
green beans -
not lean
nor colourful.
Happiness born
through such pain
prolonged over such time.
It can't run as fast
as the runner beans
but I'm okay being
idealistic
and green dreaming.
