a hurricane of words

our angled eyes
and narrow minds
they perceive so differently.

our sharp tongues leave bitter words in our mouths
as we battle

in the heat,
we are done
I cannot take anymore

but I realise who you are to me
and how I cannot just leave.
parts of me are attached -
I will stay.

we are whole again
and that's how we know the storm has blown over -
the damage is done.
