drown

The productions played
through my consumer goods
as I lay in my lukewarm tub.

The calming liquids protected my senses
and sung my heartbeat -
nothing else.

The water welcomed me
and I felt so at ease.
We were one;
a little pond with so much depth.

I wanted to be engulfed
but could not dip my toes
in the ocean;
in fear of temptation.

And submerging from the
blue which had caressed my limbs
all of the doubt polluted my lungs
and I continued living in fear.
