Mac looked at the photo that was displayed on the big screen in front of him, he was so mad at himself for seeing failed
On the plane everyone told him that it was not his fault and that he could not see him avoided but he could not tell that, he had done the procedure thousands of times and this time he was wrong and due to his mistake an innocent child had dead

He clenched his fist but quickly relaxed when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
He turned to see Riley behind him with a worried expression on her face.
"you want to talk?" she asked in a soft voice
Mac shook his head and felt the tears flow again, he didn't want to and he flatly refused to cry again
Without giving him an answer, he left the war room in a hurry, when he got to his car, he put his head on the wheel and tried to hold back his tears.
He was so upset with himself but he couldn't go back in time to save that child and that filled him with anger to the point of wanting to scream out of helplessness
He doesn't know how long he was there doing nothing but looking at the floor of his truck but when he finally looked up there was hardly anyone there in the parking lot.
He finally started the car and drove in silence to his house, at that moment not even his favorite song could make him happy.
When he got to his house he felt completely alone because he wished Desi had moved away when they broke up and he no longer had anyone to keep him company
He went into alert the moment he wanted to put her in but the door was already unlocked but he was completely sure that he had put it when he left
Very silently he opened the door and went inside the house, he checked the living room, the kitchen, the terrace, the hallway and everything seemed to be in its place.
But when entering his room it was a great surprise to find Riley sound asleep in his bed, he looked like a starfish lying face down with his arms and legs stretched out
When he turned to leave he heard Riley move and then she spoke
"You took too long, I've been waiting for you for two hours" said Riley
Mac turned to see her, now she was sitting cross-legged on the bed
"Why was he waiting for me?" asked Mac
"Why am I worried and I know that if you don't want to talk, a little company would do you good" said Riley
"Riley I ..." he was going to protest but Riley interrupted him
"You don't want to be alone and you know it" he said in a serious tone
Sure he didn't want to be alone but he didn't want to upset Riley with his problems
She gave him a sympathetic smile and that was it for Mac, unable to pretend any longer that he was strong she dropped to her knees on the ground.
Immediately she knelt in front of him to calm him down, he looks up and they both look into each other's eyes.
"Everything will be fine, I promise." Riley put both hands on her cheeks.
"I don't want to cry anymore, I'm sick of all this" said Mac almost in a whisper
"Hey, I'm here and if you can't erase your pain we'll get through it together, you and I are a bundle" she dedicated to him
At last she let the tears flow freely down her cheeks, Riley with her thumbs gently wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"You don't know how much it means for me to be here" said Mac
Before Riley could say anything Mac's lips collided with hers, for a second no reaction but when she finally realized what was happening she kissed him back
It was so soft, tender, full of love, tenderness, affection and it was filled with so many completely indescribable emotions
For a moment the world around him seemed to disappear and it was just him and Riley sharing an incredible moment
Suddenly nothing else bothered him because he knew that he should cry she would be there to wipe his tears
