Riley smiled sweetly at the waiter who stopped next to her asking if she was going to order but she told him she would wait for her appointment to arrive
A few minutes later he sat in front of her, he was wearing her typical jacket, a blue shirt inside her and his blonde hair well combed
"He's late, that's not good" Mac said amused
"Get out" Riley replied
"I'm not leaving here" Mac smiled at him
"You don't intend to leave me alone?" Riley asked in a low voice
"no" was the only thing he answered.
Before she could answer him something about her, her appointment arrived and he sat in front of her
"Sorry for being late, there was a lot of traffic" Adam excused himself, his date
"no problem" said Riley
"He's lying, there was no traffic at all," said Mac, who was now standing next to Riley.
Not even 10 minutes passed and Riley was already annoyed, she didn't know if she was because of Adam's slob or because of Mac's comments
"Or shit, if he could hit him right now he would" Mac said suddenly
Riley glared at him but Mac quickly replied
"What? He's more focused on your cleavage than the conversation you're having" said Mac
"God I can't handle this anymore" Riley said as she got up from the table.
"what's the matter?" Adam asked
Riley did not answer and she only left the restaurant very upset, when she got in the car she went as fast as possible to her house
"I told you he would be an idiot" Mac said when she stopped the GTO in front of Mac's house
"and I told you to go" said Riley
"to which I replied that I would not" said Mac
"And why do you do this? Why me? Why do you still appreciate and am I the only one who can see you?" yelled Riley as she got out of the car
"I don't know why you're the only one who sees me but I know that I'm always with you because I love you" said Mac behind her
She entered the house and when she closed the door she turned to see him
"I wish I could understand all this" Riley said somewhat sadly
"And I would like to understand why the person I consider as a brother betrayed me by making the woman I like have a date with someone who is not me" said Mac trying to make her smile
Which she got as Riley laughed softly
"He just wanted me to…" she didn't even know how to say it without crying
"That you stay tied to a feeling for someone who might not wake up from a coma" Mac finished
"Yeah, it's been almost a year and it doesn't seem real" she said
