I met you in November
Under the solemn skies of school days
Through my calloused fingers and droopy eyes
Hollow chest and hollow thoughts
You came in like a meteor shower
A bright streak of light through the black abyss in the skies
For a moment I thought you were a mirage
So pretty and so delicate
I swore I could sit and watch you forever
In the middle of the approaching winter
In your warmth I surrendered
But the meteor shower became an asteroid
Ripping through the skies and burning to flames
You struck right through me
Left a gigantic crater where I used to stand
Now I'm stuck here in the deep
Incapacitated and mute
For you ruined every inch of my bones
Burned every piece of my flesh
Tore away my tongue
So I can never speak of the hurt
I do nothing but stare at the same old stars I used to admire
Catching meteor showers from where I lay
They are more beautiful than you
But there was just something about you
My mind can't seem to let go
From summer to winter
I remember it all
When we met in November.
