Maybe I miss you
Maybe I don't
Maybe I think about all the pros and cons
Maybe I'm laying on my bed waiting for dawn
Perhaps I light up when I hear your laugh
Perhaps my heart clenches more than enough
Perhaps I've fallen in love with your words
Perhaps you feel the same in your world
But you probably think not
I'm probably tying an imaginary knot
Probably trying to see if it'll materialize
Even though I know it will probably not
All these maybes with no certainty
Searching the void for nonexistent clarity
Maybe I won’t be alone for an eternity
But I'm sure of one thing now
One thing you carved in our affinity
And that is “Us” is an impossibility
