~Tinley's point of view~

~One year later~

Things turned extremely weird; I am glad none of it really affected me; that isn't true. Patrick Blaine has become even more aggressive. I seriously just take it, then when I go to bed at night, I cry it out and move on. I still work at the track, so I see him quite a bit. I do not work at the schools anymore. Nick closed the track for a month and expanded it; We now have races every day of the week. Monday-Thursday's are different races. Friday- Sunday are the normal stock car.

Two months after Jessie started dating Patrick Blaine, they moved in together. She cut off all communication with me. Once that happened, Patrick Blaine's words became harsher. I have not seen or heard from her since the night she came with me to the track. It's no sweat off my back. I have Tandy and Nick. They are all I need; I don't need drama or fake friends. Things like that are the perfect reason why I don't have friends.

It's Friday. No one is at the track until two pm today. I have cleaned my house and done my laundry; I need to go to the grocery store. It's just me here, so it doesn't take long when I do have to go. I may be fat, but I don't eat a lot. I grab my shoes and my purse and head across town to my favorite grocery store. It pricey, but their food is worth it. It is the only thing I don't mind spending a little extra for. It's not like I will spend all the money I do have. I live off of what Nick pays me. I hate that he does, but he is legally required to pay Tandy and me both.

I make my way into the store. Nothing is out of the ordinary about my trip. I walk aisle by aisle, getting my things; I am at the water section. I drink a ton of water, but I only drink a certain brand. It's always on the bottom shelf. I bend to pick it up, and I lift it to put it in the cart. I stop short when I see a baby with nothing but a bow on her head and a diaper lying on a blanket in the basket of my cart.

Panic sets in. I freak out and rush to the customer service desk. I wait for what seems like forever, getting more impatient by the second. A young girl comes up and asks what I need. I tell her, and she calls for the store manager. It takes her ten minutes to come up to the desk.

Valencia: "May I help you?"

Tinley: "This baby was left in my cart. I bent down to get water, and she was in my cart."

She looks at me strangely.

Tinley: "FUCK IT. I'll just call the police."

I call the non-emergency number. I do this because no one is hurt, and I don't want to cause a panic. It's a sleeping baby, not an ax murderer. It takes twenty minutes for someone to show up. When they do, it is someone I least expect. It's a fairly young girl.

Eloise: "Which one of you is Tinley Graceland?"

Tinley: "Me."
