That afternoon it seemed that the sun lit up Hogwarts more than usual, you could hear the shouts of the students from the team's locker room.
Everyone seemed euphoric for the first game of the season but no one could beat the Gryffindor students, who had their faces painted and some huge banners with images of the team members, the same ones that they shared with some Hufflepuff students who were ready to cheer, their shouts surpassed without a doubt those of Ravenclaw and made the indifference of some Slytherins look insignificant, all this added put Lily's confidence and security to the test.
With anxieties now on the surface of her skin, Lily prepared to go out onto the pitch, Harry approached her with a warm and pacifying look that calmed Lily down a little, the twins similarly just shook her like a maraca in encouragement, Oliver called for them to follow him, they walked until they found the gate to the pitch closed
—"Let's welcome Ravenclaw!"— Lee Jordan shouted and Lily could hear the Ravenclaw's flying towards the center of the field.
She sighed overwhelmed
—"Scared Lily?"— asked Oliver
From nerves she hadn't realized she stood to Oliver's side —"A little"— she replied
—"I felt the same way before my first game"— said Oliver looking straight ahead waiting for their name to be called
—"What happened?"— replied Lily without taking her eyes off front too
—"Uh, I don't really remember"— Lily turned to look at him with a look between worried and confused —"I took a bludger to the head 2 minutes in, woke up in the hospital a week later"— he said giving her a slight smile
—"Of course, how could I forgot it's you who we're talking about"— Lily replied and Oliver chuckled.
At that moment the door opened, the thunderous sounds of a few moments ago, now became deafening and the light blinded their sight for a millisecond, they mounted their brooms and flew off
The air she felt the moment they stepped out was the same air that took away that nerve Lily was feeling
—"Hello and welcome to Hogwarts' first quidditch game of the season, today's game Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor"— Lee Jordan said and the crowd began cheering
All of the players took their positions as Madam Hooch stepped out onto the field to begin the game.
As Madam Hooch was telling everyone to play fair and square, Lily's heart was racing in excitement
After the bludgers and the golden snitch were up everyone was ready for the releasing of the Quaffle and that's when it happens and the game begins
The first person to catch the Quaffle is Angelina, who deftly dodges a few Ravenclaw players and scores, all of Gryffindor celebrates including Lily.
Chambers one of the Ravenclaw chasers grabs the Quaffle and passes it to the Ravenclaw captain, Roger Davies, he throws but Oliver blocks it and sends it wide.
Lily flies at full speed and catches the Quaffle, spins and passes it to Katie, who flies another bit and returns it to Lily who scores
—"Another 10 points for Gryffindor!"— announces Lee and Lily celebrates.
Harry shouts from his broom —"Great Lil!"— with a big grin.
Chambers grabs the Quaffle again who gives it to Randolph Burrow, Fred swings the Bludger at him but that didn't stop him from throwing, still Oliver blocked the shot.
