More than an hour and a half into their journey had passed and they had already made a brief stop to apply the Bubble-head charm once more as it was only an hour long.

The black lake was very cold and silent, Lily had never noticed that and they couldn't even talk to each other to make the journey feel less lonely, the good thing was that before she could get any more desperate Hermione signaled to them that Missus had apparently stopped which meant they were there or at least near.

They all started to swim out towards the banks of the river all gasping for air.

—"Well that trip was duller than any of Snape's lectures"— commented Fred, Lily laughed at the remark

—"We're in the middle of nowhere Lily"— said Ron looking around for something that looked castle-like —"Your stupid bird got it all wrong"—

—"Shut up Ron, that bird is smarter than you"— replied Lily and everyone let out a derisive laugh.

Missus positioned itself beside Lily, who was lying on the grass like the others, and she held a letter up to its beak.

—"It's to let Viktor know we're here and maybe he'll give us directions,"— Lily clarified.

So after several minutes everyone dispersed and everyone got caught up in their own conversation as they continued to wait.

—"I hope it won't take too long because we still need time to get ready and all that,"— Oliver said aloud, leaning against a tree.

Lily took the spot next to him to keep him company.

—"Are you anxious?"— asked Lily as she fixed her hair in a ponytail.

—"Pff, me? Of course not, why would you think that?"— replied Oliver defensively dodging Lily's gaze.

—"When you're anxious about something you start moving something around inside your trouser pocket"— Lily turned to the said pocket which stopped its movement as she finished her sentence —"The first time I saw you do that, I freaked out a little"— she said giggling

—"Ha!"— He said our loud, but then leaned closer to her —"What dirty things were you thinking about Stone?"— whispered Oliver in her ear

—"What else do you want me to think about when something like that looks as bad as that?"— she rolled her eyes and look the other way

—"It's this"— Lily turned to look at him and saw Oliver pull a small snail shell out of his pocket and put it in her hands.

—"What's so special about it?"— she examined the shell looking for a transcript or something like that.

—"Remember I told you that in my first game I got knocked out?"— Lily nodded —"Well when I woke up in the hospital wing, I was thinking about quitting quidditch."—

Lily looked at him in a great state of astonishment —"You?! The obsessed maniac who eats, drinks and breathes quidditch?!"— after Oliver bursted in laughter at her comment Lily realised that that comment came from her soul

—"Alright, that comment really was a long time coming, wasn't it?"— they laughed again.

—"The thing is that for some reason the shell ended up in my hand, and when I took a look at it, it was fine, the impact was very big and yet it was still intact despite being something very fragile"—

—"So to this day, every time I see it or feel it in my hand I think that if the shell could take that fall, so could I and many more."— he gave her one of his most dazzling smiles.
