It's been a few days since Mackey caught Davey in his yard, Davey played it off but he still had some paranoia "guys! Come in I'm freaking the fuck out" I was pulled out of my sleep by this

"dude, it's 1 in the morning. You're gonna wake up my mom" Woody said I groaned and picked up my walkie to respond but "not after the pounding I just gave her" Tommy's voice came through "I'm serious!" Davey said

"guys, I get this I very important but could you respectfully, lower your damn voices," I said "emergency meeting. Treehouse, now" I sighed quietly and got out of my bed I placed my pillows in a way where I looked like I was sleeping slipped on my shoes and a jacket, and climbed out of my window

When I got there Davey was freaking out "the friggin walkie was sitting in his window. He wanted me to see it" Davey explained everything he said freaked me out

"oh my god, he's onto us. Oh, I should have just gone to space camp" Faraday said "nerd" I mumbled "there's no way he knows why we're spying on him, and even if he does he's only onto me which is why I need you guys now. When Mackey heads out on his 11:00 jog, Faraday and woody, you're gonna follow him" Davey said

"I don't like where this is going" Woody said "yesterday on my route I saw Mackey dumping dirt over something in his garden. Something the size of a body. While you two follow Mackey, we're gonna tear up his garden. See if we can find that body" Davey said

"what if Mackey catches us?" Tommy ask something we were all wondering "that's not gonna happen. That's why I had you grab Kyle's CB's. If Mackey starts heading back, Woody and Faraday Will radio to let us know" Davey said

"but, what about his garden he's gonna noticed all his shit messed up?" I asked "raccoons. Just like with the garbage in the street. Just wait for him to leave. And stay in touch with our CB's the whole time. It's... it's foolproof. Look, we need that evidence" Davey said "alright. See you chumps tomorrow"

I had asked my dad early in the morning if I could stay at a friend's house that night and he said yes so I packed a bag and hung out with Tommy all day. When it was time to rip up Mackey's garden Davey came and got us

"if we find a decaying body I'm gonna throw up" I mumbled "shhh!" Davey exclaimed "ok, geez," I said Tommy unlocked the back gate and we entered Mackey's backyard "grab a shovel, M'lady," Tommy said

"no way, I'm lookout," I said and walked over to the gate "we don't need to look out, Woody and Faraday are following Mackey," Davey said, "you trust those bozos?" I said "she doesn't have to dig if she doesn't want to dig," Tommy said "thank you, Tommy," I said

They dug for around 18 minutes before "fuck, Davey. There's nothing here" Tommy said "no, we're just not digging deep enough," Davey said

"maybe he's hiding something in there," Tommy said I looked in the direction that he was looking in, a shed "what?" Davey looked up and saw it too. We approached the shed and Davey pointed his flashlight in the window "I can't see anything" Davey said

Davey then approached the door that had a lock on it "I got this" Tommy said and pushed Davey out of the way he pulled something out of his pocket and in a matter of seconds he unlocked

"how the hell'd you do that?" Davey asked "who cares? It was hot" I said "thanks, babe," Tommy said Davey gagged and pushed the door open

We looked around for a little bit "unless he's killing people with his lawnmower we got Jack shit" Tommy said and pulled me out of the shed and left Davey to continue to look

"it's really cold tonight, maybe you should stay in my house instead of the treehouse" Tommy said, "are you sure?" I asked "yeah it's fine," Tommy said

Davey rushed out of the shed "look" he said and showed us an MTV shirt "this is Dusty Dewitts shirt" Davey said "who?" Tommy asked "the missing ginger from the milk," I said Davey turned the shirt around and there was blood on the shirt

"oh shit! That's blood" I exclaimed I went to touch the shirt "what are you doing back here?!" At that moment I felt my heart fall to my stomach I thought we were caught. I thought we were dead, but the fit of laughter made me turn and see Woody and Curtis

"you douche bag!" I exclaimed, "you got a death wish?" Tommy said holding up his fist "us? We've been trying to call you on CB for like 10 minutes" Curtis said I was confused I didn't hear the CB

"we lost him. We don't have a clue where he went. We need to go, now" Woody said "and Davey, you're not gonna believe what we found," Curtis said "neither are you guys. Come on"

We gathered around a table to speak about the evidence "he keeps a can in a storage unit?" Davey asked "and like a million bags of dirt, too," Woody said "that's psycho shit" I mumbled

"plus, shovels and a pickaxe," Curtis said, "like the ones he bought at the hardware store?" I said, "why would anyone need that?" Curtis asked "it's the same reason he's got Dusty Dewitt's shirt. He killed him and buried the body somewhere" Davey said

"and there was like a bunch of bags of um, something else. They have like chemical signs on it. It looks hazardous. It's said Noah" Woody said "Noah?" I questioned, "what's the hells that?" Tommy asked

"how am I supposed to know. I just know it was like spelled kinda weird, here hand me that" I passed Woody a piece of paper and a pen and he wrote it and handed it over it was spelled

NoAH I snatched the paper "classic Woody" Curtis exclaimed meaning he was onto the same thing as me I grabbed the pen and re-wrote it Na OH "how'd this?" I asked "yeah, that's the same thing," Woody said

"no what you wrote means absolutely nothing. What Cole wrote is the chemical formula for sodium hydroxide" Curtis said "congrats Woody! You're retarded" I smacked Tommy in the head for his comment "stop it," I said,

"what the hells sodium hydroxide?" Davey asked "whatever it is, it's definitely not used for gardening," I said "yeah I'm pretty sure it's toxic for plants," Curtis said Davey got a book

"holy shit! Guys, look at this. Sodium hydroxide breaks down chemical bonds to keep flesh intact, turning organic tissue to liquid. Frequently used to decompose roadkill dumped in landfills" Davey read

"that will reduce the odor of decomposition" I said "this sicko's using this stuff to cover up the smell from the dead bodies he's dumping someplace" Davey said "that's so sick" I said shivers running up my spine "I got good news for you, Woody, it's time to tell my parents"
