i kept my wand tightly in my hand, and my head hung low as we ran through the chaos that now surrounded us. hogwarts was and probably never will be the same

there's spells flying everywhere you look, trolls, deatheaters, house elves with kitchen equipment (i could've sworn i saw dobby with a butter knife)

we all turned a corner to see lavender on the floor, greyback over her body

"stupefy!" hermione yelled, greyback was sent flying, he hit the wall. he was down, but not for long. he cracked his neck before slowly approaching the four of us

"well if it isn't y/n black, the blood traitor, just like your father, your real one, who's dead" he smiled

i looked above him and saw a giant boulder waiting to fall at any second

"maybe this'll knock some common sense into you" i said just before the boulder fell flat on his head. ron, harry and hermione smiled in victory

"are you okay?" harry asked as he cupped my face in his hands

i nodded my head yes

"okay let's go" he grabbed my hand before we all started running towards the cabin down by the lake again

we finally approached the cabin, we kneeled down behind the cloudy glass that covered the view, somewhat

"you have performed extraordinary magic, with this wand, my lord, in only a few hours alone" snape said after a few seconds

"no, i am extraordinary, not the wand, but it resists me" voldemort said in return

"there is no wand more powerful, ollivander said it himself. tonight, when the boy comes, it will not fail you, i'm sure of it. it answers to you and you only"

"my lord?"

"the wand, does it really answer to me?" i heard a moment of silence, i felt my heart drop, yes we may have our differences, but he is my uncle and he was there for me when everything happened with umbridge "you're a clever man severus, surly you must know. where does it's true loyalty lie?"

"with you of course my lord" snape said with worry

"the elder wand cannot serve me properly because I am not it's true master. the wands power lies with the one who has killed it's last owner. while you live, the elder wand cannot serve me"

i heard snapes back hit the glass, my heart truly sank now

"you have been a good and faithful servant severus, but only i can live forever"

"nagini, kill" voldemort spat with venom lacing the words

the snake obviously obeyed, i heard snapes body hit the glass four times, i slowly looked up, bloody stained the once cloudy glass
