Always (John X Remi)

Chapter 3

3rd Person

John was waiting outside the school gates for Remi. When he was approached by Zeke.

"Hey Jonny Boy" Zeke said slyly

"What do you want Zeke" John said irritated

"Well I just wanted to-" Zeke was abruptly cut off by a voice behind him

"Hey John"  Remi said coming up from behind Zeke

"Hello Remi" John said

"Remi????" Zeke said

"Yeah, you need something Zeke?" Remi said, fully knowing that Zeke was terrified of her and the rest of the royals

"N-No" he said

"Okay then" Remi said

Zeke ran off and John and Remi made their way to John's apartment

John POV

While me and Remi were walking to my apartment, I was trying to think of a way to explain my past without telling her to much. I still didn't completely  trust her.

"Hey John?" Remi said

"Yeah?" I responded looking down at her

"You seemed uncomfortable or even scared when I asked why your dad
wrote Unordinary for you, are you going to be okay?" She asked

"We'll see" I responded

"Oh... Okay" Remi said sounding down

I looked down at her, she still seemed sad about earlier, when we talked about her brother

"Are YOU okay" I asked her putting emphasis on the YOU

She looked up at me with her big red eyes. I blushed slightly looking at them

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine" she said

"Okay then" I responded

When we finally made it to my apartment, I saw a figure standing at the door. A man, tall, ... Red hair....

Keon

Remi POV

There was a man's standing at the door of John's apartment. He was tall and had red hair, not as red as Blyke's but still pretty red.

I looked up at John to see if he knew this guy by the looks of it he did. John looked like he just saw something traumatic happen right before his eyes

But once the red haired man stared to turn around his face went back to normal. The two just stared at each other until the red haired man broke the silence

"John" he said

"H-Hey, Keon" John said

"Your father wanted someone to check up on you, to see how you were doing"  the red haired man said

John turned to me and handed me a silver key

"Here Remi let yourself in" John said
"I want to talk with Keon alone for a minute" he said

"O-Okay" I said confused

I walked past this Keon and let myself into John's apartment

John POV

"Keon, why are you really here" I asked him

"I don't know what you mean by that" Keon responded

"Come one, if dad wanted to check up on me, he would call or come himself he has no qualms with dropping by unannounced" I said

"Fine, I came here to make sure nothing like the incident in New Bostin happened" Keon said

"Why would you come to my house why not just ask headmaster Vaughn?" I asked

"The headmaster of Wellston seems to not have the highest of opinion of the authorities" Keon said sourly

"Okay then, so you Keon wanted to check up on me or you were instructed to check up on me?" I asked raising an eyebrow

"I was instructed" Keon said

"By who?" I asked

"That is none of your business" Keon said

"Fine fine, I haven't had an outburst" I said "Really why does it matter" I said turning back to Keon

Keon frowned and activated his ability

"Need I remind you" he said reaching a hand towards me

"N-No I'm good" I said

"Well I have what I'm here for"Keon said turning around "goodbye John"

"Bye" I said

Once Keon was gone I opened the door to my apartment and walked in. As soon as the door closed completely I collapsed on the floor and thought about what had just happened

"John?" A voice asked

I looked up to see Claire reaching her hand out to help me. I screamed and backed away only to see Remi in Claire's place looking confused.

"JOHN" Remi exclaimed "are you okay"

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, sorry" I said getting back on my feet

"It's fine" Remi said 

Remi got her face really close to mine and said "Now I think you have something to tell me"

As she pulled her face away I noticed she was blushing and then I realized that I was blushing to.

"No I have something to show you" I placed my hand on Remi's forehead and activated Keon's ability

Remi POV

John placed his hand on my forehead and his eyes glowed gold

I thought he was a cripple I thought before I was blasted into a vision like state. I saw a green hair girl helping a much younger John along with a boy with spikey hair.

I saw John bearing the king of New Bostin High School. I saw Claire leading group of kids against John. I saw The readjustment facility, Keon, the three months of torture and conditioning he went through. I saw everything

John removed his hand from my forehead bringing be back to reality. I felt a single tear fall down my face. No wonder he wanted to hide his ability. They didn't help him at the readjustment facility they broke him , made him fear his own ability.

I looked over at John who sat down on the opposite end of the couch that I was on.

"Well, you must think I'm a monster now" he said weakly

"No I don't" I said

John POV

"No I don't" Remi said

My eyes widened, " You don't" I asked surprised

"No of course not, I mean you made mistakes but you're not a monster, besides you were basically tortured for three months by Keon" I said

John didn't say anything

"So no I don't think you're a monster" I walked closer to him and I grabbed his hand

"Because you are not a monster"
