Always (John X Remi)

Chapter 28

John POV

I woke up to a series loud bangs coming from downstairs. I got out of bed and felt weaker for some reason like my ability power had been cut in half

"What's going on?" Remi asked

"I'll go check it out, I swear to God if it's Arlo and Elaine or Isen and Sera fucking I'll kill both of them" I said

Remi chuckled

"Are Arlo and Elaine officially dating yet?" She asked

"Nope, but it's so obvious that they are head over heels for eachother" I said

All of a sudden we heard what sounded like Blyke's energy beam and a loud crash

"Shit, let's go" I said

5 minutes earlier

Elaine POV

I woke up to the sound of the apartment door closing, I lifted my head and looked around and saw that Arlo was awake and in a crouching position and was looking towards the door

I suddenly had a felt like all of my energy and power was cut in half. I regained my focus and looked back at Arlo his gaze into the dark peaking my interest

I followed his gaze and saw a man dressed in all black creeping towards the couch that Seraphina and Isen were on.

The man pulled a long silver blade out of a pouch attached to his belt. 

As soon as Arlo saw the knife he lunged at the intruder and tried to tackle him. The man was quick though flipped him on his back. Arlo slammed into the ground, I jumped up and kicked the man in the side. He fell on his side and dropped his knife

Arlo got up and tried to kick the man but he rolled out of the way and punched Arlo in the stomach Arlo fell to the ground with a loud bang

I saw the knife on the ground and made a dash for it. The man saw it to and he dove for it

I grabbed the knife first  but the man was able to grab my leg and pull me to the ground. I hit the ground with a thud. He jumped up and kicked me in the side me causing to slide across the floor. 

I watched the man walk over to me and hold the knife above me. I closed my eyes and prepared for the end, when I heard what sounded like a small explosion then a crash in the wall

I opened my eyes and saw Blyke crouching with his hands in a kamehameha pose.

I saw Arlo running towards me before I fell unconscious

John POV

I got to the bottom of the stairs to see the living room in shambles. Arlo was crouching next to a hole in the wall with an unconscious Elaine in his arms.

Blyke was over with Isen who was sitting on the couch with a still unconscious Sera

I saw a man in all black unconscious in an even bigger hole in the wall.

"What happened?" Remi asked

All the heads in the room turned to us

"Someone tried to break in it looked like they were going for Seraphina" Arlo said

I looked at Isen

"She still not awake?" I asked

Isen shook his head

"Does anyone else feel weaker than normal?" Blyke asked

Everyone nodded

"Okay, well then Isen, Blyke. Take Sera and Elaine upstairs" I said
