Always (John X Remi)

Chapter 29

Arlo POV

I watched John collapse on the ground after defeating our opponents. I wiped the blood off my mouth and jumped out the window and landed near John

I looked at Remi who was running towards John

"I'll take John, take Seraphina" I said

Remi Nodded and moved towards Sera who was still asleep even after all of this. I picked John up gave him a piggyback ride back to the house while Remi carried Sera.

When we walked in I saw Blyke standing in the living room with Isen on layed out on the couch and Elaine on the floor. He was looking through the first aid kit doc had left

Blyke turned to look at us when he saw John and Sera he moved to help Remi with Sera. They put Sera on the couch with Isen. While I put John down on the floor using a couch pillow to prop up his head

"What happened" Blyke asked " I woke up and carried these two down here but I could hear something happening outside"

"Why didn't you come help us?" I asked

"I panicked and remembered the first aid kit was down here" Blyke said

I sighed and glared at him

"G-guys" Remi said

We turned to look at her and saw a dark spot spreading where she had been stabbed.

Remi looked at me then Blyke before her she collapsed on the ground. Blood started to pool beneath her.

I ran over to her and lifter her shirt. Her wound must've reopened during the fight.

"Blyke are there anymore bandages in that kit?" I asked

"Yep" he said as he pulled a roll out and came over

First I took off the old bandages. I looked at the wound. It was slowly oozing blood I quickly wrapped the new bandages around it very tight.

After a while the bandage stopped getting red and I let out a breath.

"There that should be good until doc gets here" I said

We Laid Remi down slowly next to John.

We moved out of the living room full of our unconscious friends and sat at John's dinning room table.

"What now?" Blyke asked

"We wait for doc to get here it's the only thing we can do" I said

"We can't defend everyone if they come back and it's just us" Blyke said

Then footsteps came from the living room

I stood up and Blyke froze in his seat.  I prepared for a fight when John walks in

I relax and John smiles

"Hey boys" he says

"Is it okay for you to be moving right now" I asked

"Yeah I think so" John said as his legs gave out and he collapsed

I ran over and caught him. I put him in one of the chairs

"Heh thanks" John said "guess I wasn't okay"

I sighed and returned to my seat.

"So, what now?" John asked

"Well it's like midnight and I'm tired" Blyke said

"Let's set up a watch system" I said

"Sounds good to me" John said

"Blyke you've got first watch, I'll go second, then John you'll take third" I said

"Why am I first

"Because John couldn't stand up for more than thirty seconds without me having to catch his ass, and I also overused my ability in the fight, so you got first" I said kind of sarcastically

Blyke just sighed

5:30 am

John POV

It's 5:30 and I'm in the kitchen making coffee because if I'm gonna be awake until Arlo gets his ass up, god knows I'm gonna need a pick me up.

My head is pounding from a really bad headache I got from overusing my ability. While I wait for the coffee to finish I go and sit in the living room next to the couch.

I look over at Remi who's shirt was blood soaked. Arlo and Blyke told me what happened with the wound opening back up after the fight.

I pull out my phone and start playing angry pigs to kill time when I hear something from the couch. I look up and see Sera sitting up and looking around

"Se-" I am cut off when Sera gets up and runs to the bathroom room

Isen stirs and beings to wake up from the sudden movement. I follow Sera to the bathroom and find her throwing up.

Isen comes up behind me and looks at Sera. After a minute she gets up and looks at us.

"Sera?" I said

She runs past me and I hear her go upstairs. Me and Isen look at each other before running after her.

We found her in my room holding the alarm clock on her knees tears streaming down her face.

Isen crouched down next to her.

"What wrong" Isen asked

"I-" sera said

Arlo came into the room behind me, I guess we made some noise running up the stairs.

"I.... Can't use my ability" Sera said

The room went silent.
