Alarm could be heard from Vincenzo's room as Veronica opened her eyes and groaned. Her peaceful sleep just got disturbed by his brother's loud alarm
She rolled her body to the side of the bed and reached for her phone on the nightstand beside her bed

She then remembered her schedule today and went to check it on her phone
Her fingers were swiping through the screen with her eyes squinted because of the brightness, and she finally found it
Today is their stepfather's funeral
It will be held on 8 am so she decided to get some more sleep but as soon as she closed her eyes, knocking sounds could be heard from her bedroom's door
"What the hell"
She murmured and lazily got up, heading towards the door with her messy hair. Opening it, she was greeted by her brother's stern face
"What do you wan-"
"You're coming with me"
"Wha-"
"No questions, just follow me. I'll be waiting for you downstairs"
With that, he walked away
"Asshole"
She huffed as she slam the door shut. She groaned and cursed her brother quietly and walked towards the bathroom to get ready for whatever her brother wants to do today
After almost an hour, she was finally ready. Wearing a black suit and her long wavy black hair draped down on her back, she checked herself out again on the mirror to make sure she looks fine
