Marco showed Veronica a photo of a men suit from a website that he wanted to buy
"It looked fine"
She replied, giving him a quick glance before writing something on her book. Marco just nodded and continued to scroll through the website more
She silently sighed as she grabbed one of the magazines that she just bought weeks ago about fashion. Her eyes were moving, reading every single letters but her mind wandered somewhere else
She felt guilty
Guilty for trying to abandon Marco's relationship with her
Their relationship was arranged from both of their families, The Cassano Family and The Agasto Family
They were instantly pronounced as fiancé
The first time when she heard about it, she couldn't think but to end the relationship quickly before they got married. Her heart belonged to someone else and she felt nothing but guilt to Marco
They both knew each other since they were a student. They went to the same school where Marco developed a feeling for the Asian girl, and coincidentally, their families put them in an arranged relationship
She had no other choice but to agree with them. Even Vincenzo tried to talk to them to not force her to be with someone that she doesn't want to but failed as the families ignored him
Seo-jun knew about it but at that time, they were still in the process of being friends after insulting each other on literally everyday, he felt nothing but pity to the girl who was forced
The relationship lasted for 5 years
She wanted to end the relationship before confessing her love to Seo-jun
She already talked to her adoptive father, with the help of Vincenzo, he agreed with them. Agreeing on them breaking the relationship
He apologized for doing that to her adoptive daughter, and promised to give nothing to her but support. Even Paolo supported her decision. The Agasto Family was yet to know and now, she will be the one to break it to him about the news
Not that Marco is a horrible person, but he was pretty awful
Controlling her everyday, paranoid if the girl didn't answer one of his calls or texts, and once, he even put a tracker on her car and phone. Veronica went mad and since then, their relationship was nothing more than friends
