14. Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs

" And that's it! Break for 15 mins and then we start with the next part. " said the director at the set. The whole team along with me and a few other staff members of BCCI were here at the set handling these bunch of pranksters. It was no less than a chaos having the whole Indian Cricket Team at set. As soon as director announced the break, I took a chair and moved to the furthermost corner to have my own peaceful time. What! It was difficult to handle them.

Sipping hot coffee as I soughted out a schedule for everyone. I had to go along with them to Australia being the team manager. I had visited quite a few countries with all my celebrity clients but it was my first time in Australia and was hoping to explore the places where matches were to be held. To roam freely, I also needed to have a proper schedule for the team! As I was going through my phone emails and notification, I received a text message from my little bro, Varun. He had sent some post and assuming that it would be some meme or useless joke, I opened it since I needed a good laugh after the whole chaos to destress myself.

To my surprise it wasn't a regular meme as I expected, it was a post from Greenville and what shocked me was it had mine and Virat's selfie as it's poster/cover. I quickly tapped on the post and checked the caption. It was not a joke to interfere in someone's personal life but that's not how celebrities function. I always had my personal space but for the first time I felt as if someone had intruded in my space. The news didn't bother me as it was a part and parcel of my life and profession but what affected me was how my relations and my position was questioned in the caption and comments. What bond I share with Virat or the whole team is my personal equation, it has nothing to do with my career or job. It hurt my ego.

I had two ways to move out of this situation, either by limiting my interaction with everyone and specially Virat or just accept it as a rumour and prove it to the people out there what I am !

After having a chat with me, Ro left from there leaving me alone to collect my thoughts. I was confused in this whole situation. I logged into my Instagram account and opened the post. I read the caption again and again. After reading it a couple of times, one thing caught my attention and that was the comments that were pinned down. Some were claiming that we looked cute, some had ship names ready while some comments just trolled her ruthlessly. And that's what affected me the most.

One comment said that it seemed like she used me to become ICT manager while the other one said she was just using me for fame. The question here to all these trollers was who the heck are they to decide what she was to me ? Who gave them right ? But then that's media for you. Reading those comments was quite disturbing and disrespectful for a woman. What hurt me more was that it was somewhere due to me. Somewhere I was responding for the whole situation.

The sane me said that I should have a chat with her while the not so clever me told me to stay away from her life, maintain a professional relationship and not ruin it for her, not let people question her hard work and dignity. I was utterly confused on what to do!

Hey guys!

I have been MIA since quite a few day but there are couple of things that are coming up soon! This chapter was ready on Thursday only but I wasn't satisfied so I didn't post.
