Hey everyone!
Sorry if it's been a while since I've updated! I've been busy with school and there's been something going on at home, but here's an update~
This was requested by @AlphaWolfGirl31 (it's a year late I'm so sorry!) But here it is!
This is a soulmates AU and it's my first time writing this kind of thing for dna so I hope you guys like it!

"The red string of fate will lead you to your soulmate." Was your mother's answer every time you ask her about her and your father
"It will connect you and the person you are rightful to be with." Your grandfather says as he holds your grandmother's hand lovingly
"You'll find yours someday!" Your best friend encourages you before picking up her phone when her boyfriend called
"But how long?" You grumble, everywhere you look it always seemed like you were the only one without a partner, in your home, on the streets, and at school, everywhere you went couples are always there, reminding you of your still lost soulmate
And this time wasn't any different
"Exactly, why did you drag me here?" You ask your friend with an exasperated sigh while she giggles
"Come on, support your friend who's supporting her boyfriend!" She encourages you
"Do you even know anything about baseball?" You ask her as your eyes look around the stadium filled with old men and students that you guessed were supporting their school's team
"No, but the boy I love is here." She winks
You sigh and look down, surprised to see that red string tied around your pinky, it was almost translucent but you wouldn't mistake it
"(Best friend's name)!" You shake your friend
"Huh? What?" She blinks as you stare at your pinky, watching as the string becomes clearer and clearer
"(Nickname)-chan, what's wrong? The game's about to start!" She whispers but you didn't give her your attention since it was on your 'soulmate'
Throughout the game you could make up one conclusion:
He was scary
He has a loud voice, amazingly strong batting power, he has a fast runner, but what scares you the most about him is how you always feel your heart skip a beat at the mere sight of him, sure he may be your soulmate, but currently, he's still a complete stranger to you

"Aww, it's okay baby! You did your best!" Your best friend comforts her boyfriend while you stare in the direction of your soulmate's team
'Did he even notice?' You couldn't help but wonder since it looks like you were the only one worrying, he seemed calm (somewhat) throughout the game and even managed to hit tons of balls which led to their team winning so did he not notice you? Or does he not care enough?
Whatever the answer was, you were about to find out
"Hey, I'll be going somewhere," you tell your friend absentmindedly, not waiting for her answer, you follow the red string which continues to become clear as you walk towards the person called 'Isashiki'
You reach their team's room, unsurprisingly outside was filled with all their supporters
"E-excuse me!" You yell among the crowd, following the team who was walking towards their bus
"Um, please let me through!" You continue to yell
"I-Isashiki!" You exclaim, trying to catch his attention, but to your avail, your voice was not heard over the other girls screaming out the team member's name
"Damn it you asshole of a soulmate!" You curse out loud, already expecting him to ignore you
But he didn't, instead, he turns his head and his eyes meets yours
Your jaw slackens, not believing how much luck seems to hate you
He returns his attention to his teammate and seems to say something to them since they nod and before you know it, he was already in front of you
"So....hi?" You gulp, hoping that he wasn't angry from your outburst earlier
"I...I'm-"
"Isashiki." You nod, "-I heard it earlier when the announcer something introduced you and the team!" You add hurriedly
"Isashiki Jun." He completes his name, his voice was rough and you could feel the awkwardness surrounding you two
"So um...Hi again," you mutter the last part, "I guess, I'm your soulmate." You hold out a hand
"I guess so," He cracks a smile
"So uh...I don't really know what to do but I guess we should...." You rack your brain for anything
"Do you want to exchange numbers?" He blurts out, Isashiki swears he could feel his cheeks burning (not only because he's meeting his soulmate but also fact that he could feel his teammates' eyes on his back, watching his every move)
"Of course!" You exclaim almost too happily, "I mean, sure if you want to."
You two fumble with your phones, still not able to properly process the fact that you were finally able to meet your soulmate
But thankfully, he had enough sense to ask you out for a drink on the weekend
You two were strangers who hardly knew each other, the only thing connecting both of you were the red strings on each of your pinkies, but somehow, for some odd reason, there's a pull almost as strong as a magnetic field pulling you two towards each other and without exchanging any more words, somehow you two had the same thought
'The wait was worth it for someone like this'
