This one was really fun to write, this isn't a request but it's been something I've been wanting to write for some time now
Speaking of request, I forgot to mention that there were tons of people who wanted a part 2 of the cheater Miyuki fic, I forgot to add them though 😅 but some of them are @croozie @LUV_PINKU @LiScarixx

Kataoka places down his glass that was half filled with wine and looks around the venue, his eyes going from a colleague to another who were all talking among themselves, reminiscing about their time in Seidou from when they were in their first year up until they graduated
His eyes go from his former teammates to you, a former manager in his time, laughing along with your old friends as you danced in the middle of the room
Kataoka swore you look breathtakingly beautiful in your gown, it was like you never aged despite it being years, you still looked the same as before, still having that bright smile that could lighten up the room and easy-going personality that has helped him through tough times back in the days
Kataoka remained sitting on the floor, heavily panting after just finishing the training regime that was given to him to follow
"Are you okay?" A soft voice asked from above him,
Kataoka looked up and saw you looking down at him worriedly, "You should take a small break, resting is still part of training." You reminded him, extending your hand for him to grab so that he could stand up
"Thanks," He said gruffly, but despite his rough demeanor, you didn't flinch or distanced yourself, instead you smiled at him
"It's nothing, let's both work hard for the team!"
That was the first time Kataoka met you, he still remembers how welcoming and kind you were to him, you were the first person he considered a friend upon getting into high school and you made his three years happier than they could have
"You've worked hard Tesshin, you'll definitely become the ace!" You laughed, nudging his shoulder, "When that happens then we'll have a chance to nationals,"
Kataoka couldn't help but smile, feeling the sincerity of your statement, you had full trust in him and that motivated him to work harder to get stronger so that he could lead the team to nationals
"Tesshin," His thought was caught off with your voice
Kataoka looks up to see you grinning down at him and holding out your hand for him to grab, just like the first time
"Dance with me," You motion for the dance floor, he swear he could feel the energy emitting from you and he figured, he really wouldn't be able to say no. Not like he could ever say no to you
"Come on, I get that we haven't danced since high school but you don't need to be so stiff," You frown, placing a hand on his shoulder while you grab his hand as he places the other on your waist
The song soon changes into a slow one, "Oh I remember this song," You chuckle, "It's the song we danced together for the first time,"
"You still remember that?" Kataoka couldn't help but be surprised, it's been so long, how could you still remember?
"Of course I do! That was the first time I saw you so flustered," You couldn't help but let out a laugh, "You kept on stepping on my foot throughout the whole thing,"
Of course, Kataoka remembers, that was the time he figured that he has feelings for you, as cliché as it sounds, but having you so close to him while he held you close to him, it made his heart pound so loudly that he was afraid that you might hear it and figure it out
It felt just like the first time, his heart was pounding but thankfully he now knew how to properly lead a woman in a dance, so he wouldn't further embarrass himself by hurting your foot
"You look beautiful," Kataoka accidentally blurts out, not able to keep his compliments to himself
You smile in response, "You look good too, the suit really looks great on you." Kataoka once again believes you, hearing the same old sincerity that your statement holds
As the song plays and the two of you move together to the beat, he wonders if anybody in the team was playing tricks on him by playing this song. But that was highly unlikely, no one knew of his feelings for you
Then was it fate? Is this fate's way of reminding him of the times he wasted and backed off because he was afraid that you wouldn't feel the same way? Or is this fate's way of reminding him that this is probably the last chance that you'll ever be in his arms?
Whatever it was, Kataoka once again wishes that the song wouldn't stop, that the two of you could keep dancing together for a little longer, that he could keep you just for a few more moments
But it did, upon hearing the last beat of the song, another old friend whisks you away from him. He watches as you danced along with the other people you were close with in school, smiling as he hears your laugh when somebody cracks a joke
"Alright people, for the last dance, let's invite the bride and groom to the dance floor!" The mc announces
Kataoka watches as your groom walks over to you, blushing over the fact that tons of people were cheering for the two of you
Kataoka wants to do it too, he really did. But something inside him keeps on hurting. Maybe he should just go back to his table and drink
But he couldn't do that to you
He watches as you wrap your arms around his neck while your husband places his hands around your waist, the two of you smiling at each other while everybody in the room claps
You catch Kataoka staring at you and beam at him, Kataoka couldn't help but smile
Soon you return your attention to your husband. Kataoka drops his smile. He remains watching from the sidelines, regretting that he didn't even tell you anything when he still had the chance
