"Your pitcher's a headache." You sigh, leaning on the wall while Kengo, your friend, turns his head at you
"Has he been bothering you?" He asks, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. As far as he knows Mukai wouldn't really bother anybody that he didn't know well...unless he's interested in you
"I'll try to talk to him?" He offers while you shake your head
"He probably won't listen, don't worry." You pat his shoulder before standing properly, "I'll head to class then." You nod at him goodbye before walking to your class
Kengo sighs, he has an idea on why Mukai's attention has been on you this past few weeks

"So I think this should be like this," You explain while using your notebook to draw the diagram
"I see," Kengo nods
Mukai walks in the library, he was asking a bunch of 3rd years about your whereabouts and when he heard you were in the library, he didn't waste any more time and came to find you
Just to see you so close to Kengo
"What are you doing?" He asks, making an entrance and sitting on the seat in front of your pair before crossing his arms
"Oh you're here," You say blankly
"Is there any problem?" Kengo asks
"Nothing." He answers, already obviously sulking
"Well we're going to continue our project so I would appreciate it if you keep quiet." You say blankly before talking to Kengo again who was looking at Mukai worriedly
Mukai scoffs but stays silent, just watching as you talk to his teammate
"I'm starting to feel bored." Mukai blurts out while he rests his chin on the palm of his hand
"The door is open for you to leave," You say calmly, not even sparing him a glance while you work on your assignment
"I don't want to leave."
"Then please be quiet."
And Mukai does, he watches you work in silence. Although he wasn't happy about the small distance between you and Kengo, he really can't say anything because he knows if he opens his mouth and says something then you'll just get annoyed with him. Maybe telling him to get out (Although he finds you attractive when you're angry)
Or further annoying you might lessen his chances with you, and that's the last thing he wants. So even if he wants to push Kengo away from you, he endures since he doesn't want to make it seem like he's that into you (Although he is)
Kengo tries to stop his smile from showing, Mukai was surprisingly cooperative to the person he likes
