Location: Academy Cafeteria
"Helloww, Pike!" Uhura sang to her best friend as they met at academy cafeteria.
"Don't call me Pike, Nyota!"
"Okay, sorry. I know 'YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR FATHER'", Uhura mocked. "Hey! Wanna watch a movie in my room?"
"Yeah sure! Let's get over with this coffee. I could really do with some cheese and caramel popcorn!" Carolynn confessed.
Location: Uhura & Gaila's shared room.
(Kirk and Gaila, a green-skinned Orion, are together on her bed)
"Ahh.. Jim, I think I love you." Gaila moaned into Jim's ears.
"That's so weird." Jim replies with confusion in his voice.
"Lights." Gaila orders.
A male computer voice speaks up, "Lights On."
"Did you just say "that is so weird?""
"Yeah, I did but I..."
"You don't love me too?"
The door then opens and Uhura walks in followed by someone the pair couldn't see.
"Oh, that's my roommate, along with someone else." Gaila whispers
"I thought you said she was gone for the night? And who's this someone else?!" Jim complains.
"Get under the bed, Jim."
"Under...?!"
"Yes! Under the bed."
"C'mon"
"She can't see you."
"Why not?"
"Because I promised her I'd stop bringing guys back to the room."
"Wait, how many guys have you...?" Jim asked, a tad bit offended. He thought he was the only playboy around.
"Down, just down." Gaila pushes him under the bed.
"Hey!" Gaila greets.
"Hey." Uhura replies.
"So? How was lab?" Gaila asked trying to hide her discomfort at bring cockblocked by her roommate.
"I was tracking solar systems and I picked up an emergency transmission."
"Really?"
"Yeah, from a Klingon prison planet."
"No?" Gaila faked a shocked face.
"Yeah. A Klingon armada was destroyed. Forty-seven ships"
"Oh my god, if it isn't the famous Carolynn Rose Pike! How've been, Carol?! I feel like I haven't met you in months!" Gaila says greeting her friend!
"Hi there, girl! I'm..well, I'll now be fine, since we'll be watching a movie together!" Carolynn replied.
Jim's stomach dropped at Carolynn's voice. He knew she'd be hurt if she saw him with random women again. But then, it's not like they're dating or something
"So, you're not going back to the lab tonight?" Gaila asked with uneasiness in her voice.
"Gaila, who is he?" Uhura confronted her roommate.
"Who's who?" Gaila said, trying to play innocent.
"The mouth-breather hiding under your bed." Uhura said.
Jim pokes his head out.
"You could hear me breathing?" he asks.
Carolynn sees a half naked Jim coming out from under Gaila's bed. He only had his boxers on.
"Jim?" Carolynn speaks up.
Jim could hear her heart breaking. Her eyes were unreadable.
"Rose, I swear, I can expl-" Jim couldn't finish his sentence.
Carolynn left the room without another word.
"Get. Out." Uhura hissed at the blonde.
