Jisoo must have been a bad person in her past life for such a thing to happen to her.
She was so mortified that she could barely move and gaped like a fish out of the water while the film crew were asking her questions.
"Ms. Kim is everything all right?" The brunette questioned with a smirk playing at her lips.
The cockiness shocked Jisoo further. She doesn't remember Jennie like that. Every bone in her body was shy, timid and adorable in her memory. She sure changed.
"Everything is fine." Haein stepped in because it seems Jisoo decided she suddenly can't speak anymore. "We will see you ready for work in a week." The man said and pulled Jisoo along before she could make a fool out of herself longer.
"What was that?" He asked the second they entered his car.
"I changed my mind," She said rashly. "I think I love doing commercial films, why don't we forget this whole thing and go back to that?" She asked with an innocent tone.
Haein looked at her in complete disbelief. "What? But you- Ugh!" He groaned. "If we decline them, they will blacklist you. This production company has high pride. Why did you change your mind? You were so into it..."
Her change of character was peculiar and too drastic to him to have no good reason to it. Also Jisoo appeared embarrassed about it too. Like she didn't want to come out with the truth and mentally discussed it with herself several times before she mumbled to him.
"She's my ex...." She said quietly, her cheeks faintly red as her fingers fiddled awkwardly.
"Who?" Haein inquired, quirking a brow.
"The one with that big grin and cap. Feline eyes, chubby cheeks, heart shaped nostrils, brown h-"
"Yeah I remember." Haein cut her off. "Okay, so that sucks if it was a bad break up, but so what? This will be professional and surely she will act in a mature way."
"No you don't get it!" Jisoo ruffled her hair distressed. "That script, she totally wrote it about our relationship! And she accepted me? Isn't that weird? She clearly wants to play me for a fool!"
Haein covered his mouth to contain a laugh halfway through her explanation, making Jisoo glare at him. The situation became funnier to him, the clearer the picture was.
"Isn't that going to be fun?" He teased.
"It's not!" She hissed. "She will have a field day and I will hand it to her on a platter!"
"This is a good experience for you to act professional with whomever you work. You won't always like your co-workers or even employers but you still need to find a way to manage. The work has to be finished."
Jisoo pressed the side of her head against the window and frowned. Basically he is not giving her a way out and he wants her to suck it up, she got the message clearly.
Maybe if Jisoo just broke a few bones, she had a reason to decline the job-
"And don't even think about staging an illness or faking injuries, otherwise I will have to monitor you closely." He warned.
Jisoo sighed. So much about that plan.
She chewed on her inner cheek angrily.
This is a good opportunity, she shouldn't run away from it just because her ex wrote the film.
In fact she should go up to her and demand more profit, after all the film is about her and she hasn't allowed her to write about them.
That's not allowed right? Legally? Jisoo will just assumes it's not and have a talk with her. Yeah, that's what she will do!
