Although specific meanings for the hibiscus differ depending on the culture of the beholder, there are some generalities about what the hibiscus symbolizes. This is considered a very feminine flower and so is usually given or worn by women. In North America especially, a hibiscus means a perfect wife or woman. In Victorian times, giving a hibiscus meant that the giver was acknowledging the receiver's delicate beauty.

Wednesday, 5:53 a.m. - two days until acceptance letter is received

Standing with Amajiki was rather soothing, in all honesty. The male was a shy beauty with a timid, warm heart - the very definition of the peonies he was so gracious toward. You weren't aware of it, but the flowers felt as though they were his lifeline, a beacon for hope for the future; he adored them, even if he was too shy to say it verbally to you.

You were just too bright for his meek nature, though he swore to himself that he'd gather the courage to tell you such a fact someday.

As with all good things, though, this interaction was bound to come to an end.

"Tamaki! There you are!"

Loud footfalls began to make their way toward you and the taller male, the feet they belonged to adorned with a strikingly cute pair of heels. Quite frankly, despite your surprise, it made you wonder how someone could practically run in a pair of heels, even if they were only an inch in length.

"Mirio was just texting me! We couldn't find you, aha!"

Her voice was pure honeysuckle; astonishingly sweet and perfect. Her hair was a pale, yet somehow vibrant blue, and incredibly long. Her eyes matched her hair color perfectly, the color surprisingly highlighting her femininity.

"A-Ah, sorry ..."

You blinked awkwardly, shuffling away from the pair so as not to intrude on their conversation. Even still, you were glad the timid boy had friends that seemed so sweet.

"Oh! Who's this Tamaki? Did'ja make a new friend?"

He choked, glancing at you and contemplating if the two of you could be considered friends. Were you friends? Or would it be rude to tell Nejire you were friends if you didn't consider him your friend? Amajiki didn't know what to do. He was on the edge of a breakdown, sweating profusely.

"Ah, u-uhm ... I'm [l/n] [f/n]! I-It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"I'm Nejire Hado! You're cute! What's your quirk?"

You blinked once more in surprise at her bluntness, but let out a quiet thank you nonetheless.

"M-My quirk is Floral Contradiction ... ! Give me a second, please ..."

Reaching your right hand out, palm facing toward the sky, you began to grow a sweet, pink hibiscus flower, shaking the small droplet of blood off of your hand before handing the young girl, Hado, the feminine flower.

"Wow! That's so pretty, thank you!"

She sent you a warm smile, before glancing toward Amajiki's hand.

"Did you grow those too?"

"A-Ah, yes, I did! I thought they really complimented Amajiki-senpai! Not just the colors, you see, there's a meaning behind flowers and- ... ah, sorry, I'm rambling aren't I?"

"Mhm! But that's okay, right Tamaki? You're passionate!"

"O-Oh, uhm, ... yes ... !"

You hastily nodded, a blush ever so prominent on your cheeks. The two were quite a pair, though you almost felt bad for Amajiki. Before Hado could begin to speak once more, your phone began to ring, the caller ID signaling that Katsuki had dialed your number.
