Carnations are often referred to as pinks due to their spiky petals that often look as though they were cut with pinking shears - a type of scissor in which the blades are saw-toothed rather than straight. There are several theories about how the carnation got its name, however. While some believe that it originates from the word coronation because it was used in Greek ceremonial crowns, others assume that it originated from the Latin word carnis, meaning flesh, because early carnations were typically pink in color. Much like the various other flowers in the world, these beauties are known to come in a wide array of colors and shades. One of the most notable, though, is purple; though the rich color is often found to be related to royalty due to its origin, when in regards to carnations, purple symbolizes capriciousness - in which one may find themselves given to sudden and unaccountable changes of mood and/or behavior. If combined dark red carnations, which symbolize deep love and affection, one is left with a bouquet that would represent a dangerous relationship, and so it may prove useful to be mindful of the flowers you receive.

Tuesday, 2:34 p.m. - the day after the entrance exams

The greenette's words had you restless, leaving you to fall asleep at nearly five in the morning.

After all, how would you react if your friend suddenly told you that they had inherited the number one hero's quirk?

Regardless, your inability to sleep had left you to wake up well into the afternoon. Pushing the countless thoughts that raced through your mind, you gently opened your eyes to stare at the blank ceiling above you. After yesterday's events, you had really just wanted to lay in bed all day and ignore the outside world.

However, it was Tuesday - meaning that it was time to visit your father once more.

In all honesty, you weren't quite sure what to tell him. Izuku had specifically told you to keep quiet about his truth, and even if he hadn't it wasn't your place to say anything - even if it were to your father who most likely wouldn't even realize your presence. Perhaps you could simply explain the practical exam to him; explain to him that you had become even more foolish than you were in your youth.

Sitting up, you brought your legs over the side of your bed, placing your tired feet atop the wooden floor. You reached your arms up, locking your hands together much like you had when creating the dome - though this time it was to complete a much less dangerous act. As you pushed your toes against the flooring, lifting yourself up and stretching your sore limbs, you let out a quiet sigh.

You hadn't even bothered to change the night before, much less take a shower.

Regardless, you made your way to your closet, tired eyes scanning the various hangers and the fabric that draped off of them. Much to your dismay, your selection of clean clothing had become far less than the previous week, as you hadn't bothered to do the laundry either.

I can't say that I'm surprised, though taking previous events into consideration, I can't say that I blame you.

Without much consideration, you pulled out a simple beige cardigan and a rather pale teal, plaid skirt. It was a rather simple , but it wasn't like you had anyone to impress with your fashion skills.

Yet.

Sliding your feet into a pair of light brown ankle boots, making your way towards your greenhouse with a soft expression.
