Often disgusted- a poem

Used to accompany time far from reach

Not often seen as the beauty that is within

A disapproving appearance often not used to teach

Counting corpses, crunching under pressure

Colour-changing emotions, often old and experienced

A dull, dried out, died out leaf is often not compared

For your life is far from dead

But, a dying leaf had a life well lived

It got through seasons alive in the end

Although only one between millions alike

Your colour vibrant and special, clearer than the rest

So, you're often second guessed, thought about twice

And only second best

But, you're worth more, stronger than believed

And my first choice.
