Chapter 5 - A Day To Not Remember

Dream's POV

"There is something wrong Sapnap, I can feel it.."
"I know you are worried Dream, but just give it a few more minutes."
"Its already been 10 minutes and you know my family has always been punctual."
"That may be true but remain positive will ya, right dad?"
"Sapnap is right, Dream if anything would have happen we would have known by now, we always have patrol wolfs working at all times."
"I do know that Anderson, but I just have a gut feeling that there is just something wrong."

Its already been 15 minutes, they were suppose to only pick up my little sister from her friends house and suppose to pick me up from mines as well. Its 9:00 pm as well which makes the situation worst as well.

*phone rings*

"I'll get that, please Sap calm down Dream."
"Yes father!"

As Sapnap was talking to me, we both looked at Sapnap's dad and saw that he had an emotionless face, almost looked pale.
"..... Yes of course we will be on our way, thank you so much for informing me, bye."
"Let's go kids, we need to go to the hospital right now."
"Is it my parents Anderson?!"
"Sadly, yes it is Dream. I don't know anything else than that they are in the hospital so we have to go."

'Please let my family be ok..'

Arriving to the hospital, hospitals always gives me goosebumps and makes me nauseous. Its a place I really don't like going, it be always giving me the creeps.

"Hello nurse! Do you know where the Alpha, Luna, and daughter are?"
"Have you already been informed of the situation?"
"Has there been a change?"
"By how you and the children are calm probably don't know the current results."
"Just tell me doctor, how is my best friend and his family?!"
I'm sorry Mr. Armstrong and Dream but your family passed away in the car crash, the person who crashed with your family was under the influence both your family and himself didn't survive."

"NOOO....

YOU ARE LYING, THIS WHOLE THING IS NOT TRUE... IT CANT BE POSSIBLY TRUE!"

I just let my body hit on the ground as Sapnap tries to comfort me. My whole family died and I didn't even get to say goodbye to them. I'm the only one left in my family...
"WHERE IS MY BEST FRIEND? ME AND DREAM WANT TO SEE THEM RIGHT NOW!"
"Calm down Mr. Armstrong we will take you to them right now of you'd like."
"Take me to my family please."
"Right this way..."

As I see my families lifeless bodies on the three tables, it makes me sick to my stomach how someone was stupid enough to fucking drive while intoxicated and made me lose my whole family.

"What happens now Anderson?"
"What do you mean Dream?"
"Aren't I the next in line to be Alpha?"
"shit..... You must take your place as Alpha right away.."
"But.. But I'm suppose to take over until I'm 21?"
"In these types of circumstances, you are to be crowned as the new Alpha. But will still be under the right hands supervision aka me."
"I can't do it without my family Anderson, hell I don't even know how to hunt yet, let alone to protect the whole fucking pack!"
"You'll be just fine Dream, you will have me and Sapnap by your side and the whole pa-"

"Wait Anderson!... "
"What Dream?"

"Something seems off, let me rephrase it, Drista doesn't look the same.."
"What do you mean Dream?"
"I mean her birthmark is supposed to be on her right forearm and its not there, along with her freckles are not there and she does have freckles!"
"That is actually very suspicious indeed, now that you mention it didn't she had curly hair?
"SHE DOES!! She never likes straightening it!"
"You are onto something Dream.. We will report this right away!"
"Take a DNA test I'm almost 100% sure this isn't Drista!"
"Well take the body right away, do you have any DNA of Drista?"
"I'll bring some of her hair, from her hair brush."
"That should be good, meet me here in under an hour, take Sapnap with you."
"I will bye!"
*closes door*

"let's go Sapnap we have a mission!"
"Wait what's the mission?!"
"Turn to your wolf and I'll let you know."

As we both turn to our wolves mines being a large black wolf with blonde hair on my tail along with green eyes. I never understood why my eyes are green when they are suppose to be red. And Sapnap's being a garnet colored, large wolf. Now both of us running through the big territory I am getting very worried. For sure sadly my parents are dead. But I really do believe Drista is alive and they/him/her took her hostage since she is a daughter to the Alpha.

"So what are we doing again?"
"I have many reasons to believe that Drista is alive and has been captured."
"If this is true at least you won't be alone you would still have your sister!"
"There always has to be a good thing with a bad thing huh?"
"Sadly yes.."
"Well lets get her hair sample and try to figure out If the person on the table is actually Drista."
"Yeah man! We will figure it out!"

Finally retrieving her hair sample and making our way, back to the hospital.

Results show: NOT THE SAME DNA
Identity of body: Marla James

Identity of hair: Drista Nightmare

"Anderson this makes me believe that the crash was on purpose."
"Do you believe as in a cover up?"
"I do now since that isn't my sister. I do feel bad for Marla since she does look a lot like my sister, but that isn't my sister."
"This whole situation is messed up on so many levels."
"Where is she god damn it! she is only 10 she can be anywhere at this point!"
"Don't worry Dream we will find her and the assholes who took her will be punished!"

*4 days later*

After the accident we had to have the funeral very soon, It had to be this way to crown the next in line the alpha of the pack. With my parents gone, and the fact that there isn't a sighting on where Drista is and I just feel worthless. I'm losing myself as time keeps passing.

The more time passes the less chance of Drista being alive. Someone must have covered her scent since I can't smell the usual jasmine and chamomile on her which could have been easier to track her down. The people who captured Drista must be professionals since they knew how to cover her scent and not even leave a trail behind of her scent and their own scent.

The funeral involved everyone in the pack, so we can all together say goodbye to my parents that left this world way to soon. It was a tradition to leave a red rose which would symbolize the alphas eyes which were naturally red.

"I didn't think that I would be in this place so soon Sapnap.." "I know you didn't, but I believe that everything happens for a reason and even if this doesn't seem like it, it will get better, trust me when I say there is a light at the end of the tunnel."

"Cliché..."

"Maybe but It works just fine as well." "Sapnap, I will make a promise... A promise to bring the assholes that did this and I will tear them apart to shreds myself. My parents didn't deserve this and after all of this they still had the audacity to kidnap my little sister." "Yes what happened to them is horrible, I don't know what you are going through, but you have to keep in mind you have a really big responsibility and that is to be the leader of Nightmare." "I can't be a leader when all I can think about is how Drista is still out there, all alone...." "My dad and I will help you along the way, you won't be alone in this, we are in this together."

"Thank you Sapnap, lets get the show on the road then"
