Chapter 11

**Janet's P.O.V**

I wake up, my head was killing me. I grab my phone and check the time, 9:30!

"Shit! Katrina wake up!" I began to shake Katrina's shoulder a bit

Katrina bolts up

"Whats wrong Janet??" Katrina asks as she grabs her head

"It's 9:30! The hearing starts at 10! We'll never make it!" I replied, worried

"Janet, go get Riley dressed, I'll look for some asprin to ease the hangovers, then well rush out and we will make it on time" Katrina responds

"Okay Katrina" I answer as I head out the door.

I run down the hall and into the kids room, I wake up Riley and begin to get her dressed, a pair of jeans, her Frozen shirt, and her Frozen socks and shoes is what I had gotten her dressed in. I then pick her up and begin to head out of the door

"Be good boys! I'll have Chad come over in a bit!" I tell the twins

"Otay" they reply

I meet Katrina and we each take 4 asprins. Then we go outside and head to her Jeep. I buckle Riley in and call Chad

Chad- Wass-

Janet- Chad no time, I need you to come over to where you came last time as quickly as you can, the boys are inside and we need you to watch them. Were leaving now and there's a key under the  fake rock thats next to the bush

Chad- Ok I'm on my way

I hang up and check the time, it was already 9:45. 'How are we going to make it....' I wonder to myself.

Katrina can see that I'm worried so she speeds up, we pull into the courthouse at 9:56 a.m.. I unbuckle Riley and Katrina and I walk into the building. We're greeted by a guard asking us where we need to be

"We're here for a custody battle against Roger Jones and his girlfriend Marie Hudson" I reply

The guard looks through his list "room 30B, there waiting for you" he replies

"Ok thank you!" I begin to rush to the room. I climb the stairs as Katrina holds my hand. Once we got to the room Katrina hugged me for extra support, as we entered holding hands

"Ms. Hudson, you're late" I was told by the judge

"I'm so sorry I'm late your honor my alarm didn't go off" I reply

"You're dismissed, let's get on with the custody battle, who is this with you Ms. Hudson?" Asks the judge

"This is my girlfriend Katrina" I replied

Roger gave me a dirty look as he got ready to speak. I hold Riley close as she was a little scared. Katrina and I sat down

"Mr. Jones, tell me why you think that Ms. Hudson shouldn't have custody?" The judge asks

"She's an alcoholic, gets drunk almost every day" Roger explained

"Well he gets drunk every day and when he gets drunk he's even more abusive then when he isn't drunk. I know how to control my drinking, I never allow it to get out of hand but he does. He also smokes a pack of cigarettes a day and leaves them where Riley can get them! Then he doesn't know Riley's name and has kidnapped her from my home before" I replied, angered.

"I know her name!" He yells back

"Oh yea? Then what is it Roger?!" I ask

"It's Rocky!" He yelled back
