Chapter 23

** Katrina's P.O.V **

I woke up, the kids where still cuddling me. I slowly got up and put the blanket on the kids. I then made my way into the kitchen

I decided to make Dino Nuggies for breakfast for the kids and nothing for me because I didn't want to eat, not without Janet.

As I grabbed the tray I recieved a phone call, I put it on speaker and laid it on the island

"Hello?" I say

"Hey Katrina it's Carol sorry for how early it is but I just had a few questions if you aren't to busy" Carol answers

"I'm not busy, go ahead" I told Carol as I grabbed the Dino Nuggies out if the freezer

"Well before Janet went into her coma what happened?" Asks Carol

"Well Marie came in, she was acting all nice, then she rolled in our food cart and after Janet ate her meal and drank her water she said she felt differnt and that the room was spinning" I tell Carol as I turn on the oven

"Isn't that suspicious?" Asks Carol

I began to think, Carol was right, that was suspicious

"Da that is suspicious, but how could food affect Janet?" I asked Carol

"Don't you think Marie could of slipped something into it?" Asks Carol

"She said Roger did" I remembered

"Was Roger there too?" Asks Carol

"I mean I didn't see him.." I answer

"Katrina I'm going to do some research, I'll call you back later. Take care!" Carol tells me as she hangs up

I put the nuggets into the oven and go into the living room, I check the time, 7:42 a.m.. I sigh and start scrolling through instagram

I zone out and am awoken by the timer for the nuggets going off. I go into the kitchen and take them out of the oven. I fix 3 plates for the kids and put Ketchup on the side. I wasn't hungry.

I put them at the table and a few moments later Riley came down

"Morning mum" Riley greets me

"Morning Riley, the twins still sleeping?" I ask

"Yea. What's for breakfast?" She asks

"Dino Nuggies" I answer with a smile

"YAY! Mum would of never let me have Dino nuggies for breakfast! Thanks mum!" Riley smiles as she climbs in her chair and begins eating

"Where are your nuggies mum?" Riley asks me

"I'm not hungry" I smiled at her

"Oh.. Otay" Riley answers

A few minutes later the twins come down

"Morning Mother" Misha and Sergei greet me

"Morning Kids, breakfast is in the table" I smiled

"It's Dino Nuggies!" Riley exclaimed

I check the time, 8:19 a.m..

"Once you've eaten get ready, we're going to visit Janet." I tell the kids

"Otay!" They reply

"Katrina?" Asks Riley

"Da Riley?" I answer

"Tan mum here me even tho she's asleep?" Asks Riley

"I don't know but you can still talk to her, I do" I smiled as I placed the tray in the sink
