Chapter 20

** Riley's P.O.V **

I watched as Carol rushed to the nurses station and brought one back into Mum's room. A few moments later she tells the nurse something and walks up to Misha, Sergei and me.

"You kids hungry?" She asks

"Da!" Reply Misha and Sergei

"Yea!" I answer

"Alright let's go to the cafeteria and get you kids some food" Carol smiled

"Otay!" I reply, Misha and Sergei answer the same way.

As we make our way to the cafeteria we pass 2 doctors talking, I overheard them say mum's name. I snuck up and hid behind the wall to easedrop

"Yeah there's no way Ms. Hudson is going to make it. She's way too weak, and if she does she'll most likely go into a coma for a while, possibly forever" a doctor tells the other doctor

"Yeah your right there, what about the russian?" Asks the other doctor

"Yeah she'll be fine. She's weak too but not as weak as Ms. Hudson" answers the doctor

I was shocked, was mum going to die? Would I have to go back to dad? Would Katrina make it without mum? I wondered many things

"No you're wrong" I step out from behind the wall I was hiding at

"Where did you come from?" Asks a doctor

"My mum is going to make it" I told them before I walked away and saw that Misha was waiting for me

"What was that about?" Asks Misha

"The doctors say mum won't make it but I believe she will" I informed Misha

"Oh, we better get back to the others. Come on" Misha answers as we run to catch up with Carol and Sergei

** Katrina's P.O.V **

I slowly began to regain consciousness, once I could move i sat up, my wound was patched. I looked over to see Janet in the other bed, she looked horrible, she looked like she was dying if not dead already. There were so many machines hooked up to her. I sighed and glanced down at my wrist, the IV had been reattached to the liquid pouch. I sighed and decided to go out for a bit. I unattached the IV and stood up, I walked out into the hallway and was greeted by a nurse

"What are you doing out of bed Ms. Russel? Your not gonna get any better if you keep disconnecting your IV and not resting" the nurse tells me

"I was just going on walk" I answer

"No Ms. Russel, you need to rest" the nurse replied and begins to lead me back to my bed like a dog

"I know where my bed is thank you" I tell the nurse

"Okay, lunch for you will be in your room in a few minutes" the nurse smiled

"What about Janet's lunch?" I ask

"She's to weak to eat dear, she's fed through a tube in her stomach" answers the nurse

"She talked to me when I was awake, how long have I been out?"I ask

"A few hours" answers the nurse as she reattached my IV

"Damn.." I whisper

"Lunch will be in your room in a few, here's the remote to the Television" the nurse hands me a remote

"Do you have any books?" I ask

"No sorry dear" the nurse answers

I sigh and turn on the TV, I find Janet's favourite show Family Guy and begin to watch it, hoping if she woke up it would make her feel better.
