Takes place at the end of Soul Crusher:

Zoe couldn't think of a time when she had felt happier. This was the first time
she'd ever felt comfortable being herself around other people. It felt so relieving,
assuring, to finally put down her mask and to quit pretending who she was. She could
just be herself- Zoe Lee. And there wasn't anything to worry about.

Well, there was. Namely, her family. She wasn't too worried about Mr.Bourgois. He was kind to her, which she found a little surprising considering the circumstances. Even though they weren't related by blood, he was already more of a parent to her than anyone else had ever been. As for her mother, well, she probably wouldn't even care or notice if Zoe went to hang out with some friends. Zoe wasn't really sure how she felt about that. On one hand, it was good that her mother didn't care. But on the other...it kind of hurt inside knowing that.

As for Chloe...Zoe didn't know what to think. Zoe let out a long sigh as she sat near the end of the boat, watching the sunset.
Everyone else was a little further down, but she had wanted a minute or two to herself.
Then from behind, she heard a soft tune being played on a guitar. Zoe turned
around to see Luka Coufaine, sitting crossed-legged just a few feet behind her.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," he said in a calm voice.

"No, no, you're fine," Zoe said quickly. Luka smiled, but he didn't say anything more.
That's how it was for the next few minutes. He played a light tune on his guitar for
a while, without saying a word. Zoe couldn't think of anything to say. Instead, she just watched as Luka smiled affectonetly down at his sister, Juleka.

"You care about your sister a lot, don't you?" Zoe asked without really thinking.

"Yes," Luka said with a nod. "And what about you?"

"Hmm?"

"How do you feel about your sister?"

Zoe felt herself freeze up inside. How did she feel about her sister? "I...don't
know for sure," she admitted. Why not let it all out right here? "It's hard, to, understand it all."

Luka didn't say anything. He just waited for Zoe to continue.

"She's family, my sister. And, and, I guess, no matter what happens, I'll always
love her. But, to be honest, I'm worried about Chloe. I've never met her before, until now. At first, I thought maybe I would finally find someone who's like me, but Chloe, she's different. She's hurt, even worse than I was. I have this feeling that deep, deep, down she's good inside. I know it. But what if she's never able to find herself? What if...she becomes a monster?"
Zoe shuddered. What if one day she had to choose between her very own sister
or her friends? It seemed impossible to choose from, but she would have to make a
choice, wouldn't she?

"It's never easy when you worry about your family," Luka said, his words very calm. "But with you to support your sister, perhaps you can lead her on the right path."

Zoe managed a small smile in Luka's direction. "Those sound like wise words.
Ones I hope are true."

Time skip to the end of Queen Banana:

Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. It all was. Chloe was done- she was done with everyone.

She wanted them all to get away from her. Forget about Adrien. He wasn't her friend
anymore. He already had plenty of those. Sabrina, she was worthless. She didn't even
know what a friend was. Even her own father had turned on her. He had taken her
wretched half-sister's side on the matter.
Then, there was Zoe. Pretending to be all sweet and sappy just so she could
take Chloe's place. She had thought...just once that things might be different. That
together, she and Zoe would be the coolest girls in school. Now, Chloe could see just
how far off that fantasy was.

Zoe was the favorite daughter. It didn't matter how much time Chloe had spent
with her father, or even that she was his real daughter. She could tell from the way he defended her, and the way her mother treated her, that they liked Zoe more than they would ever care for Chloe. She just didn't understand why. What was so exceptional about Zoe, but not about her, Chloe?

And of course, how could she forget about Vesperia, that copycat who had taken
her place? She, Chloe Bourgois was the one and only Queen Bee. It was something
she had done herself. She'd made herself a hero. Ladybug had ripped that privilege out
from under her and given it to some low-life. What did Chloe had left? Nothing. She was nothing. All she wanted was something.

Right now she couldn't think clearly. She was tired of this. She was so sick and
tired of everyone. If she could only have revenge...if she could show them who the real Queen around here was...Strange.

Hawkmoth hadn't tried to acumatize her again. She'd expected it. In fact, she planned on it. As soon as he gave her the powers she needed, Chloe would
wreak havoc and destroy those who were ruining her life.

But the acuma never came. No one ever came. She stomped down the streets
angrily, growing madder and madder with every step. All she wanted was- wait, what did she want? That thought hit Chloe hard. What did she really want? It was at that moment that she realized she didn't know. She didn't know what she wanted, or why she felt so awful inside. It felt like everything she had was being taken from her, but she didn't understand why.

In this world, it was either step on others, or get stepped on yourself. She'd choosen the first, but why wasn't it working? Why wasn't she happy? Why didn't She have everything she wanted?

The sun started to set in the distance as Chloe stared out of the lake in front of
her. Her eyes teared up, and before she could stop herself, she started to cry. She
wasn't sure why. Hot, angry tears ran down her cheeks.

Everything was wrong. The world was wrong. Why, why did she feel so angry inside? Why had everyone and everything turned against her?

Chloe suddenly felt more alone than she ever had before. And it was at that
moment, for the first time, that she realized she had no one. Not a single friend, or
anyone who really cared about her. Chloe was all alone. There was no one there for
her.
