I pour out all of my emotions the moment my lips press against Valentine's. He grabs a hold of one of my legs, bringing it up against him as he presses himself into me even more. By this time, my back is pressing against the books, making them hit the wall with a small thump.

There's a few wolfish whistles, but we ignore them, continuing to pour our souls into this kiss. Valentine's tongue twirls with mine, exploring in my mouth. My fingers tangle in his hair, and I feel him grip my upper thigh harder, making me damp in between my legs. His teeth greedily bite down on my bottom lip, pulling hard.

Someone clears their throat, and I pull away instantly, breathing hard, trying to process what just happened.

We just made out in front of the whole book store.

Steph is gaping at us, appalled. It's clear that she's very disturbed. Valentine still holds my thigh, glancing behind us. I feel his sudden jerk of movement when he steps back, slowly wiping his hands on his pants.

Every person in the book store is now gaping at us in loud silence. "Um," I say quietly. I can feel all eyes on me. Hot blood rushes to my ears. "What . . . book were you . . . looking for, again?" I ask Valentine, pretending to be confused while feeling my face turn red. Steph's face splits into a huge grin, and she begins clapping.

Within seconds, the whole crowd joins her, embarrassing me even more. Valentine stares at the floor, having a look of guilt spread across his face, his cheeks slightly flushed. I feel my stomach churn when I see familiar faces throughout the store, looking as pale as a ghost.

Holy fuck.

They know. The students know it's the professor. They fucking know it's me. A wave of anxiety tackles me, making me stumble back a bit. My eyes widen as I glance at Valentine. Oh, no . . . He keeps a stone hard expression, looking straight into my eyes even though he's a few steps away now.

The applauds quiet down, and fortunately, people start to leave the store with bags in their hand. "Impressive," Steph says behind me, popping her minty green gum. I stare at the floor with wide eyes, realizing what I have just done.

"I have to say," Steph murmurs, nodding towards Valentine. "You did a good damned job." She chuckles, making me smile sheepishly. "How about you go home? It's pretty slow now, it'll be fine with just me and Beth."

I look at Steph, giving her a sweet smile. "Thanks," I say before walking towards Valentine. Catching him off guard, I slip my fingers in between his, peeking up at him. He looks down at me, keeping his hazel eyes hooded.

My lips part when he smiles warmly. "Come with me?" He strokes my cheek gently. I nod, wondering where he will take me. I choose not to ask, making him grin even wider. "No questions, Miss Cindy." He instructs. I try to stifle my smile, rolling my eyes at him.

"IF YOU DON'T MIND telling me, I'd like to know where we're going." I squeeze Valentine's hand once we set off to the busy streets. The weather is still cloudy, making the windows of Valentine's car fog up.

"Wait!" I gape, looking out the window, searching for the book store. Shit! I totally forgot my truck! Valentine stops the car, receiving horn honks from behind us. "I forgot my-"

"We're not leaving it there. We'll get it once we come back." He gives me a knowing look, reaching out to squeeze my thigh. My heart beat fastens as he travels up slowly, not taking his eyes off mine. How did he even know I was talking about my truck?

Honk!

Valentine looks displeased, cutting to the chase and moving his hand back to the steering wheel. We both stay silent, keeping to ourselves and to our minds. I sigh, staring out the foggy window. An evil grin spreads across my face.
