Dae laughed at Kae-rin's curiosity and stood, wobbling a little. "He's my friend. From before I met you."
The dragon, towering over Jin-chul, eyed him suspiciously."We're your best friends, right, though? For ever and ever?"
Dae sighed. Laughed a little. "Yes, Kae-rin. For ever and ever."even though you're enormous and not human and throw me into trees.
Jin-chul swallowed and raised his arms. "I'm a friend. Of hers."
"Yeah. I can see that," Kae-rin rumbled. Jin-chul rubbed the back of his neck, confused- he couldn't understand the dragon's words. Dae laughed a little, looking over her shoulder at the three approaching forms that crashed through the forest's dense foliage.
So much for being inconspicuous. She sighed but continued to move forwards, rubbing her nose with Li-ra's. The dragon rumbled, lifting her horned head to stare down at Jin-chul curiously.
"Hello."
Dak- ho peered from beneath Chin-hae's wing.
"Uh, so we're not all in mortal danger like you said we were, Kae-rin?"
"No, Dak-ho. If it was something dangerous I would have squashed it already," Kae-rin gritted. "And I never said it was mortal danger-"
"No one cares, Kae-rin," Li-ra chimed in, baring her fangs a little scornfully. Dae raised an eyebrow.
"Shut up, all of you. Chin-hae, have you gone mad yet, what with being stuck with these youngsters?"
The dragonell's eyes crinkled at the corners. "I have yet to go mad, little ant, but I do believe my sanity will begin to ebb away soon enough 'what with' all this noise.Who is your friend?"
Jin-chul smoothed his shirt as Dae translated Chin-hae's words. "Jin-chul. I'm jin-chul," he said. "Nice to meet you."

After Jin-chul had left with an awkward goodbye, Dae sat, crossing her legs and settling on the ground. She lifted her eyes with a grin.
